Abdülvehhâb es-Sâbûnî's (d. 953/1547) Persian work, which is a summary of the work titled Menâkıbu'l-Ârifîna by Ahmed Eflâkî (d. 761/1359-60), one of the important sources of Mevleviism. Sevâkıb-ı Menâkıb, completed in 1540, is a prose work consisting of an introduction in which the reason for writing is explained, nine chapters called dhikr and a hatime section where the end date of the work is included. In the chapters called dhikr, "information is given about Mevlevi notables Bahâeddin Veled, Seyyid Burhâneddin, Mevlânâ, Şems-i Tebrîzî, Selâhaddîn-i Zerkûb, Çelebi Hüsâmeddin, Sultan Bahâeddin, Çelebi Arif, Şemseddin Emîr Çelebi" (Alparslan 1988: 287).Sevâkıb-ı Menâkıb was first translated into Turkish by Derviş Halîl Senâî (d. 950/1543) and presented to Kanûnî, and Mesnevihan was translated into Turkish for the second time by Mahmûd Derviş Dede (d. 1011/1602). Mahmud Dede's translation, completed in 1590, was decorated with 29 miniatures of the stories and presented to Sultan II. It was presented to Murâd (Ünver 1973: 2). There are many manuscript copies of both translations of Sevâkıb-ı Menâkıb by Derviş Halîl Senâî and Mesnevihan Mahmûd Derviş Dede in libraries. The work is in the Süleymaniye Library in Turkey Âşir Efendi 154, Nâfiz Paşa 1130, Fâtih At numbers 2865; Topkapı Palace Museum Library, Trust treasury number 1194 (Nevşâhî, 2005: 705-706); Five, including the Kütahya Vahid Pasha Provincial Public Library number 1543, and among the London India Office manuscripts in foreign libraries. In a manuscript from the 10th century; London India Office manuscripts are at number 1164, Kitâbhâne-i Millî-yi Melik in Tehran under Asitân-ı Kuds-i Razavî is at number 4031, Hânkâh-ı Ni'metullâhî's Kitâbhâne-i Nûrbahş is at number 323 and Arif Nevşâhî's personal library. Ten manuscript copies have been identified, five in total, located at number 24 (Nevşâhî, 2005: 705-706).
