Notes Fahrî b., who became famous as Fahrî-i Herevî. The work written by Mevlânâ Muhammed Emîrî-i Herevî (d. late 16th century). Cevâhiru'l-'Acâyi, which contains female characters as content, is the first known women's biographies and differs from other biographies books in terms of its content. This work, which focuses only on women and differs from other literary works in terms of its subject, is quite small in volume. As Fahrî-i Herevi states in the preface, it is extremely interesting and valuable in the context of containing women about whom there is very little information. The work, which touches upon an unusual and interesting subject considering the period in which it was written, was thought to be special by its author, so the work was named Cevâhiru'l-'Acâyibo, meaning "Strange Jewels". The work was first written by Fahrî-i Herevî in the first months of 962/1555, corresponding to the time of Muhammed Îsâ Tarhân, the ruler of the Argûn Tarhân Dynasty, and was dedicated to Hacı Mâh Begüm Argûn, the daughters of Mîrzâ Muhammed Argûn and Bîbî Zarîf Hâtûn; Later, it was rearranged in the first months of 963/1556, which coincided with Akbar's enthronement ceremony, and was presented to Mahım Begüm, the shah's foster mother. This work, also known as Tezkiretu'n-Nisâ, contains the life stories and poems of women poets of the sixth and tenth centuries of the Hijri period. Apart from female poets such as Mihrî, who wrote poems that could be confused with the ghazals of the famous name of Persian literature, Hâfız-ı Şîrâzî, Cihân Hâtûn, who had a poetry duel with Hâfız-i Şîrâzî, and Mehseti, who made her name known in the supreme council of Sultan Sanjar, there are names whose names are rarely encountered or cannot be found in any source. Through the work, we also become aware of the existence of other distinguished female poets whose names are not mentioned. This situation reveals that women were not deprived of the universal literary life in the regions of Herat, Khorasan and Transoxiana in the centuries before and when the work was written, and that they played important roles in socio-cultural channels. Additionally, this indicates that the ideological value judgments of the period were at an advanced point. A total of thirty-one people are included in the work. These poets are: Dilâram, Hz. Aisha, Hayrunnisâ Fâtımetüzzehra, Hz. Züleyhâ, Mehsetî, Pâdişâh Hâtûn, Cihân Hâtûn, Bîbî Heyât, Bîbî Mihrî, Moğol Hânım, Âfâk Bige-i Celâyîr, Nihânî, Beyce, İsmetî, Bîdilî, Nihânî-i Şîrâzî, Kadı Semerkândi's Daughter, Fahrünnesâ, Hânzâde-i Türbetî Hânım, Pertevî, Şâh Mulk Seyyîd Begüm, Gazzâlî's Daughter, Bîbî Ârzû-i Semerkândi, Ze‘îfî, Heyât, Bîbî Âtûn, Hicâbî, İffetî-i Esferâyeni's Daughter, Fâtıma Hâtûn-i Dûstî, Bîbî Yazdî, Nesâî.Cevâhiru'l-'Acâyib is a Persian work. However, there are also examples of Turkish poetry that are important for Turkish history, literature and culture. Moğol Hanım, the wife of Muhammed Khan Şeybânî, and Bîbî-i Yazdî, one of the relatives of Mevlânâ Âhî, are among the female poets whose examples of Turkish poetry are given. Apart from these names, there are other Turkish poems that reveal the literary power of Turkish centuries ago. These poems are poems that reveal the influence of Emir Alî Şîr Nevâî in Turkish poetry. This work, which is important for both Iranian and Turkish history and literature, has two copies each in the Oudh Library and Neval Kişor; There are ten manuscript copies in total, including one each in the Calcutta National Library, Bankipûr Library, Hyderabad Dekkan, Bodleian Library, Karachi National Museum and Harvard University Library. It was published by Hüsâmeddîn Râşidî in Hyderabad (1968), taking into consideration the manuscript number 482 in the Bihâr collection of the Calcutta National Library and the copy in the Karachi National Museum. Another publication was prepared by Mînâ Ağâzâde and Zehra İbrâhîmoğlu, taking into account the manuscript number 11565065 in the Harvard University Library, and published in Tehran (2013).
