Notes Kadı Burhâneddîn's prose Arabic work in which he discusses the wisdom dimension of worship. According to the information provided by Nizamettin Karataş, Kadı Burhâneddîn read Muhyiddîn İbnü'l-Arabî's Füsûsu'l-Hikem and, being influenced by it, examined other books on the science of Sufism. With the desire to turn his Sufi knowledge into a work, he wrote the book İksîrü's-Se'âdât Fî-Esrâri'l-İbâdât. The only copy of the book, which was written in twenty days in 798/1395-96, with a volume of 176 pages, that has survived to the present day is in the Süleymaniye Library, Hagia Sophia Department, no. It is in 1658 (Karataş 2014: 44, 25, 43, 152). There are three introductions in the book: the first is about existence (wujûd), the second is about the levels of existence, and the third is about the wisdom of existence. After these introductions, information is given regarding the explanation of the apparent and esoteric secrets of worship. The book is important in terms of revealing the Sufi orientation of Kadı Burhâneddîn, who was greatly influenced by Ibn Arabî. In this context, the work is shaped around an understanding of Sufism along the lines of unity of existence. However, it cannot be overlooked that the author sometimes deviates from Ibn Arabi in explaining the wisdom of worship. The reason for this, as emphasized in the work, is that the author takes into account the inspirations that come to his heart. Thus, Kadı Burhâneddîn created a work that is different from both Ibn Arabî and what scholars such as Gazâlî and Shah Veliyullah Dehlevi wrote on the wisdom of worship. The Arabic version of the text is compatible with the logic of Turkish. This point is clearly evident in the author's use of long Arabic sentences, his use of idioms, and his pluralization of Arabic nouns. On the other hand, his use of Sufi terms makes the style of the work heavier and makes it very difficult for someone who does not know the Sufi terms created by Ibn Arabî to understand the book (Karataş 2014: 45-49). In his doctoral thesis prepared by Nizamettin Karataş on Kitâbu İksîrü's-Se'âdât Fî-Esrâri'l-İbâdâ, it is stated that the work is written in Arabic. It has an investigative publication (2014). The Turkish translation of the text was made by the same author and published as a book (Karataş 2018). For the author's biography, see. “Kadı Burhâneddîn, Ahmed”.Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
