Notes	Chagatai-Persian verse dictionary written by Kalimatullâh Hâce Pâdişâh in the 19th century. Written at the request of Mirza Kutbuddîn, one of the princes of the Mughal Dynasty, and consisting of 274 couplets, the work takes its place among the nisâb-type verse dictionaries of the Chagatai field. In the work, which is very rich in terms of the number of words, approximately 1200 Turkish words and the Persian equivalents of approximately 20 suffixes are shown. This Turkish language material also includes approximately 30-40 words and suffixes of Oghuz language. In the work, there are variants and synonyms of some words in various dialects. However, phonetically changed forms of some words can also be seen. The only copy of the work is in the British Library, Or. It is in a magazine numbered 404. The work is divided into 9 sections according to different aruz patterns or rhyme scheme. The number of couplets in these sections, named with different titles, also varies. The work begins with Bismillah, and after the hamdela and salvele section, the author introduces himself and explains the purpose of writing the work in Persian. Accordingly, the author, who states that he is known as "Khāce Pâdişah", states that he wrote the work upon the request of Prince Sultan Mirzâ Kutbuddîn and named the work in accordance with his name. The author also states that he benefited from Turkish speakers and Turkish books while creating his work. Based on the information in the introduction and the function of such works, it can be thought that Nisâb-ı Kutbiyye was written for Mirzâ Kutbiddîn and his family. No meaning and structure classification has been made in the sections of the work; Only in the sixth chapter, as stated in the title, words mostly related to aquatic animals are included. In some couplets, words that are related to each other in meaning are together. In some couplets, the use of synonyms and homonyms together draws attention. Although the content of the work contains mostly Chagatai words and structures, there are also a small number of Oghuz words and structures. Arabic equivalents of a few Turkish words are given along with their Persian equivalents. It has been observed that some Persian words were transferred to the work in the way they are used in India. In the Ketebe record, the date of completion of the work is given as 1253/1837. The vocabulary of the work consists largely of noun words related to human and social elements. In addition, the work contains a significant number of verbs and a limited number of prepositions, as well as adjective, adverb and pronoun structures. The work, which is current and new in terms of its date of writing, is an important reference source for Classical Eastern Turkish studies and verse dictionary research (Kaya 2020: 265). Fikret Turan introduced the work by publishing it in a facsimile edition in 2019 (Turan 2019b). An introductory article was written by Yasin Kaya on the publication in question and an evaluation was made about the purpose of writing the work (Kaya 2020). Apart from these, it was seen that Nisâb-ı Kutbiyye was also chosen as a sample text in Turan's two articles titled "Words Related to Horse and Horsemanship in Chagatai Dictionaries Written in India" and "On Words Related to State Administration and Military Organization in Chagatai Dictionaries Written in the Mughal State of India" (Turan 2017, 2019a).
