Notes	An Arabic verse treatise on the science of theology written by Ibn Arabshah. It is known that Ibn Arabşâh was included in the lecture circle of Seyyid Şerîf Cürcânî (d. 816/1413), who was among the scholars brought to Samarkand by Timur (1370-1405), and took lessons from him in the field of theology. Later, during his stay in Damascus between 825-841/1422-1428, the author was the assistant of Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Bukhari (d. 841/1438), who came to the city with the pilgrimage caravan, and studied with him for about nine years on theology and various sciences. Ibn Arabshah wrote the work titled Ikdü'l-Ferîd fî İlmi't-Tevhî, which he wrote in the field of theology, as a result of this scientific accumulation. Although it is not known how many couplets the work, which is a poetic and concise text, has, Ibn Tagrîberdî quotes eighteen couplets from the work in his death. The poem, written in aruz meter and mukayyed revi, was very popular in the scientific circles of Cairo. He studied and received permission from the author of the work, which is taught as a course text in many scientific circles, such as İbn Hacer el-Askalânî (d. 852/1449), İbn Tagrîberdî (d. 874/1470) and Sehâvî (d. 902/1497). Ibn Tagîberdî quoted sections from the work in his memoirs titled el-Menhelü's-Sâfî ve'l-Müstevfî ba'de'l-Vâfî; Sehâvî, in his famous group called Ed-Dav'ü'l-Lâmi'li Ehli Karni't-Tâsi', recorded that he read this work from Ibn Arabşâh in the Salahiyye Khankah, where he resided. Sehâvî stated that Ibn Arabşâh wrote this work with his own calligraphy in his Salahiyye Hankah and gave him permission to teach it in lecture circles. Manuscript copies of the work have not survived to the present day. No study on the available part of the poem has been identified.
