Notes	A prose work on prosody written by Gülşehrî. The name of the work is written in surh ink in the title of the only copy we have, and is also mentioned as "Arûz-ı Gülşehrî" in the text. It is a small Persian treatise of 16 leaves. In the text, after a few lines of Arabic hamdela and salvele, the content of the work is briefly mentioned. The only known copy of Arûz-ı Gülşehrî is in Millet Library, Persian Manuscripts, no. It is located between pages 1b-16b of a collection of treatises published in 517. In the first 10 leaves, there are aruz circles, bahirs; determination of patterns according to whether the letters are calm or mobile, hazf, zihaf etc. After the topics are explained theoretically, sample texts are included in pages 10b-16b. Although there are some couplets as examples of the issues explained in the theoretical part, the real verse examples are in the second part of the work. In this section, 60 bahirs are exemplified with 120 couplets, two couplets for each bahir, after recording their full names as titles. In the work where all the examples are in Persian, Gülşehrî quotes a couplet with the pseudonym (9a). Since the couplets in the second part, which consist of instructive expressions directly related to that bahir, were written specifically for this work, they must belong to Gülşehrî himself. The third lines of the couplets shown as examples always consist of the pattern of that Bahr. In the only available copy of Arûz-ı Gülşehrî, there is no "hâtime" section and the work ends with two sample couplets given for "Bahr-i Mütedârik-i Mahbûn". According to the waiver record at the end, the copy in question was copied in Istanbul on the afternoon of 8 Shawwal 1147/3 March 1735. Although the fact that no other copy of the work can be found does not allow us to reach a definitive conclusion on this issue, it can be guessed that the absence of the hatime section is due to the copyist rather than the author.
