Notes Alâeddîn Alî b., who was famous with the nickname Musannifek. Muhammad b. Mes'ûd el-Bistâmî Eş-Şahrûdî's commentary on the first seven couplets of Mevlana's Mesnevi. Musannifek completed this work, in which he explained the nicknames and subtleties of Mesnevi, in Bursa, on the night of Monday, 25 Shawwal 845/3 March 1442, 10 months after coming to Anatolia, and dedicated it to the Sultan of Karaman, Ibrahim Ibn Muhammad bin Ala'eddin-i Karamani. Musannifek, who was a Mevlevi lover, wrote this work with the idea of leaving a legacy after himself and with the aim of better understanding Mesnevi. Although the author first intended to annotate the entire Mesnevi, he sufficed with the first seven couplets. In this work, which is known as a Sufism treatise rather than a commentary book, the first seven couplets of Mesnevi are annotated in detail under nine main headings. The reason why the text consists of nine main headings is that the author treated each line of the first two couplets independently and made them into headings. In the work, first the first seven couplets of Mesnevi were translated, then the couplets were annotated respectively, Sufi issues related to the subjects were mentioned, the elements of Mevlevi order were explained, and quotes were made from the works of Mevlana and many Islamic elders. In the work, subjects such as ney, neystan, separation, woman, man, sect, truth, prayer, Sufism, soul, circumcision, infidel, polytheist, belief, love and the devil are clarified. Some topics were repeated several times. In the text, which has no particular order, the issues are discussed in a scattered manner. Commentator; He quoted from the poems of famous poets such as Senâî-i Gaznevî, Attâr-i Nîşâbûrî, Ebû Şekûr-i Belhî, Sa‘dî-i Şîrâzî and Hâcû-yi Kirmânî. Written in a simple, plain, fluent style close to daily spoken language, the commentary contains verses and hadiths, proverbs, poems, stories and various quotations. It is the author's prose that is flawed in his poems. The commentary, which was written in Persian, contains many Arabic phrases and sentences. There are three copies of the work: Suleymaniye Library, Nafiz Pasha, Nu. 604; Suleymaniye Library, Fatih, Nu. 2706; Suleymaniye Library, Carullah, Nu. 1685. Among these, Nafiz Pasha's copy was written with the author's calligraphy. A doctoral thesis was written on Şerh-i Mesnevî-i Musannifüz by Sinan Taşdelen (2007). For the biography of the poet, see. “Mevlânâ Musannifek, Alaüddin Alî bin Muhammed bin Mes'ûd el-Bistâmî Eş-Şahrûdî”. Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
