Notes Sarı Abdullah Efendi's Arabic prose work, in which he deals with issues related to Melamism. Mir'âtü'l-Asfiyâ is an Arabic work that Sarı Abdullah Efendi completed approximately six months before his death. In the copy record of the author's copy located in Suleymaniye Library, Martyr Ali Pasha Department number 1401, it is written that the work was completed on 13 Shaban 1070/24 April 1660 and after the Friday prayer. However, since the date mentioned corresponds to Saturday and it is written "ba'de edâi's-salâti'l-cum'ati (after the Friday prayer is performed)", it can be stated that the work was completed after the Friday prayer on 12 Shaban 1070/23 April 1660 (Salmani 2020: 20). As far as is known, the work is the last work written by the author. This work, which is very important in terms of Melamism thought, was written in order to prevent wrong impressions about Melamism, to discover the secrets of Melamî saints, and to ensure the correct understanding of the travelers of the Melâmi path. Sarı Abdullah summarized what Ibn Arabi (d. 638/1240) said about Melamism in Fütûhât-ı Mekkiyye and conveyed it along with his own views. The work also has a copyright feature rather than merely collecting and concentrating the relevant sections in Fütûhât. Thus, although the basis of the work is the sections related to Melamiism in İbn Arabî's (d. 638/1240) Fütûhât-ı Mekkiyye, Sarı Abdullah Efendi added his own views and comments, giving Mir'âtü'l-Asfiyâ a kind of copyright feature. In this respect, the work is also important in terms of showing the characteristics of the compilation literature. Apart from the introduction of the work; It consists of article, takmile, hâtime and hatmü'l-hâtime sections. The author begins the introduction by quoting some hadiths in which the saints of Allah are described. Then, he says that Ibn Arabi talks about the characteristics of saints in his Fütûhât-ı Mekkiyye. He states that he wishes to collect these sections and write them down, thus writing his work in order to correct the wrong impressions about the Melamis, to respond to the slanders thrown at this great community, and to discover the realities of the road and the secrets of those who walk this path. In the first part, the characteristics of Melamiism, in the second part, the poles and characteristics of each period, in the third part, the characteristics of Mahdi, Hz. The descent of Jesus is explained, and in the last chapter, Ibn Arabi's legends, his understanding of Sufism and how exalted his rank is (Çakmaktaş 2017: 87). This book, which Sarı Abdullah wrote at the end of his life; It is important in terms of reflecting the views of the author, shedding light on the Melamî thought, and contributing to the ihtisar literature. The work was translated into Turkish by Bin Arslanzade (d. ?) under the name Mirkâtü'l-Evliyâ, enriched with commentaries and notes. Sarı Abdullah Efendi's work and the extensive translation of Bin Arslanzade are being prepared for publication by Bünyamin Ayçiçek and Milad Salmani. For the author's biography, see. “Abdî, Sarı Abdullah Efendi”. Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
