Notes
Prose commentary by Hâcibî of the poem Lüccetü'l-Esrârad, which was written by Molla Câmî and consists of 100 couplets. Lüccetü'l-Esrâr, written by Molla Câmî, was written as a parallel to Emir Hüsrev-i Dihlevî's ode to Derya-yı Ebrâradlı; It is a work woven with Sufi symbols and metaphors. In the Lüccetü'l-Esrârkaside, which consists of 100 couplets, important issues in terms of religion and Sufism are discussed in each couplet. For this reason, the work was named "Lüccetü'l-Esrâr" in Arabic, which means "Sea of Secrets". Hâcibî also commented on this work and this comment was named "Şerh-i Kasîde-i Lüccetü'l-Esrâr". In the introduction of the work, Hâcibî stated that he dared to write this work with the wish that the readers could benefit from it and that a work would remain from him as a copyright reason. Hâcibî wrote Şerh-i Kasîde-i Lüccetü'l-Esrâr in 1798 to congratulate Tâbit Mehmed Pasha, who was appointed to the post of vizier while he was the governor of Çıldır. While creating his work, the author benefited from many works written in Arabic, Persian and Turkish, especially Molla Câmî's Lüccetü'l-Esrârkasidesi and Dürretü'l-Fâhire. After focusing on the grammatical structure and dictionary meanings of the words in each verse in the poem, the main thoughts and meanings intended to be expressed in these verses are "that is, what is intended, from this It is summarized and given after transitional words such as "murada, hasili, hasil-i beyt". After Hâcibî focused on the grammatical structure and meaning of the words that he deemed necessary for the annotation of the verses in accordance with the classical commentary, he tried to reinforce his commentary by giving examples of verse that fit the meaning of the verse with terms such as couplet, couplet-i other, stanza, mesnevi, poem. While the poet sometimes mentions the source of the poem he quotes, sometimes he uses it in his commentary without mentioning any source. While creating his work, Hâcibî occasionally interspersed prose stories in addition to verse pieces. He explains some words, concepts or themes belonging to the semantic world of our classical literature. Towards the end of the work, translation features are occasionally seen in Hâcibî's commentary. Although there are occasional examples of verse in the introduction part of the work, it cannot be said that an embellished style dominates. Simple language was used in the commentary. The fact that the work is a commentary in the Persian language and the commentator's knowledge of Arabic and Persian caused the words of these languages to be included in the work in various functions. In the work, efforts to create literary language are evident at times. Arabic and Persian grammatical terms are frequently used in the commentary. Some of the Turkish words used in the work are words that were used in the century when Hâcibî lived, and some are no longer used today or have changed. Hâcibî occasionally gives synonyms for the word and indicates its meanings in Turkish, Arabic and Persian languages. The work was published (Özkan 2017; Kardaş and Ö. Kıyçak 2020) and was also the subject of a master's degree study (Bingöl 2018). For the poet's biography, see. "Hâcibî, Hacı Sâlih-zâde Halîl Hâcibî".Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
