Notes Arabic commentary on Sivrihisarlı Hızır Bey's (d. 863/1459) famous poem on the science of kalam - Kasîdetü'n-Nûniyye, written by Ahmed Hayâlî, one of the scholars of the era of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, who was the student of Hızır Bey. The poetic treatise of belief is one of the texts that provided an important source of commentary, annotation and translation activities in the Ottoman period. The poem, written in kaside verse form and also known as Cevâhirü'l-Akâ'id, consists of 105 couplets. The work, which was presented to Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, included the existence of God, his attributes of selbî and sübûtî, voluntary actions, guidance and misguidance, husun and qubuh, reason and divine law, being held responsible for things that cannot be controlled, the concept of never adopted by Mu'tazila, issues of sustenance and death, various issues. Topics such as the subjects of prophethood, the miracles of the saint, the states of the afterlife, the terms of faith and Islam, the relationship between faith and deeds, the faith of the imitator, and the absence of a level that reduces the responsibility of a person in the world are discussed (Yazıcıoğlu 2001: 24/571-72). Şemseddîn Ahmed Hayâlî's commentary, with the section on hamdele and salvele. starts. Hayâlî, who briefly mentions the importance of science in general and science of tawhid (theology) in particular, in the Reason for Writing section, mentions the aforementioned treatise of Hızır Bey as one of the important works written in this field and states that it needs a commentary. After explaining that he made his commentary based on this need, he praises the sultan of the period, Mehmed the Conqueror, and then moves on to his commentary. There are many (more than 50) copies of this commentary, which was published together with Dâvûd-ı Karsî's Nûniyye Commentary, in manuscript libraries. According to the information given by Yazıcıoğlu, the fourteen-leaf author's copy of the treatise is in Hacı Selim Ağa Library, Kemankeş Emîr Hoca, no. It is registered in 284 (Yazıcıoğlu 2001: 24/572). Ayînezâde Mehmed Şemseddîn Sirozî (d.1100/1688-89), Mehmed Emîn el-Üsküdârî, Ömer, on the commentary of Hayâlî, which is understood to be very popular among Nûniyye commentaries. al-Baghdadî Ömer b. Abdülcelîl b. Muhammad (d. 1194/1780) and İlyas b. İbrâhîm el-Kürdî wrote the annotation (Elmalı 2016: 25). Abdunnasîr Ahmed Eş-Şâfiî el-Melîbârî el-Hindî has an investigative study on this commentary called Şerhu'l-Allâmeti'l-Hayâlî ale'n-Nûniyyeti (Elmalı 2016: 25). Sezgin Elmalı also prepared a master's thesis in which he focused on Hayâlî's theological views, taking the mentioned commentary as a source (2016). For the biography of the commentator, see.
