Notes The founder of the Şemsiyye branch of the Bayramiyye sect is Akşemseddin Muhammed b. Hamza's work with religious-mystical content, in which he explains the issues related to the quality of remembering Allah. The language of the treatise is Arabic and the writing style is prose. The content of Risale-i Zikrullah consists of the virtues of dhikr, the superiority of dhikr (vocal) and silent (silent) dhikr, sema and ecstasy. In the treatise, Akşemseddin includes verses and hadiths as well as important hadiths, tafsir, fiqh and It is seen that he refers to Sufism books. Sources used in the treatise: Tefsir-i Beyzâvî, Keşşâf, Mesâbîhu's-Sünne, Ravzatü'l-Ulemâ, et-Teysîr fi't-Tefsîr, Reyhânetü'l-Kulûb, el-Fetâva'l-Bezzâziyye, el-Hidâye, el-İnâye, İhyâu 'Ulûmiddîn, Avârifü'l-Maârif, Mesnevî, Tahâvî, Ebû İşâk Kelâbâzî and Ebu'l-Hasan Harakânî. Akşemseddin begins the treatise by giving the dictionary and term meanings of the word dhikr. Dhikr in the dictionary means the opposite of forgetting, that is, remembering. In terminology, all good deeds are included in the scope of dhikr of Allah. According to Akşemseddin, when dhikr is mentioned in the general custom, the dhikr "lâ ilahe illallah" comes to mind. This is the dhikr that was inculcated by our Prophet (pbuh) and has survived to this day as a tradition. Although Sufis mostly mention Allah with the word "la ilahe illallah" and the word Allah, sects also chant different names and attributes of Allah. According to Akşemseddin, the sheikhs disagreed on whether the dhikr should be vocal or silent. The main reason for this is the difference in disposition. Therefore, which one is more virtuous varies depending on the person and the situation. For example, for a person who is afraid of hypocrisy, khafi dhikr is more virtuous. If there is no concern about hypocrisy, it is acceptable to make the dhikr with force. In his treatise, Akşemseddin brings evidence from the Quran and the Sunnah regarding the permissibility of the dhikr of dhikr and explains them by referring to the sources of tafsir and fiqh. Then, he examines the evidence of those who deny the dhikr of jehri, one by one, and explains, based on relevant sources, that these evidences do not prohibit the dhikr of dhikr. In the last chapter, he completes the treatise by explaining the types of heaven and ecstasy and the provisions related to them. There are two copies of the work identified today. An investigation (Alyounes 2017) and an analysis-translation (Çatak and Vural 2019) study were carried out on the treatise.
