Notes The most important work of Sadreddin Konevi (d. 673/1274), in which he deals with the main issues of metaphysics on the axis of Sufism. The work, whose full name is Miftâhu gaybi'l-cemʿi ve'l-vücûd fi'l-keşfi ve'ş-şühû, has found fame as Miftâhu'l-gayb. Miftâhu'l-gayb, together with İbnü'l-Arabî's Fusûsu'l-hikem, is the basic text around which the new understanding of Sufism is shaped. Although it is not known exactly when Konevi wrote this book, it is likely that he wrote it in Konya, where he spent the last thirty years of his life. The aim of the book, which consists of an introduction, introduction, eleven chapters and a foreword, is to present the framework that will close Sufism to subjective interpretations and give it a consistent disciplinary identity free from contradictions. In order to reflect this claim, Konevi interprets the basic issues of metaphysics on the axis of Sufism and describes Sufism as "ilm-i ilâhî" (metaphysics) in the introduction of the book. This science is an objective science with criteria and rules (mi'yâr), rather than being based on the personal judgments and interpretations of people who follow the path of Sufism. In this context, Sufism is a metaphysics whose subject can be expressed as the existence of God, its issue as God-universe-human connection, and its principles as divine names. In this work, Konevi criticizes philosophy as inadequate and theology as inconsistent in terms of knowledge methods, and states that reaching the truth cannot be limited to rational methods; He advocates that information can be made certain through the method of observation based on asceticism and struggle. Then, talking about the content of the work in the introduction, Konevi explained the nature of divine knowledge and the criteria and rules that will ensure the distinction between true and false information in this science. In the eleven-chapter main section titled "Explanation of the General Secret and Explanation of the Main Subject", Konevi deals with the basic issues of metaphysics such as unity-multiplicity relationship, unity and types of truth, as well as the subject of creation within the framework of concepts such as ama, breath-i rahmânî, a'yân-ı sâbite, throne, chair, mind, soul, plate, pen; It also focuses on issues such as the meaning of prayer, its provisions, conditions, God's connection with the universe and human beings, and the relationship between knowledge and action. In the hatime section, which constitutes one-third of the book, he includes the characteristics of the perfect human being and tries to answer seventeen questions in total, such as what the reality of man is, where, where and why he came into existence, who created him, what is the purpose of his coming to this world and where he will go. Miftâhu'l-gayb is one of the most commented works of Sufism literature. Among these, the commentary written by Molla Fenârî (d. 834/1431) under the name Misbâhü'l-ünsad is considered the most important. Miftâhu'l-gayb was published by Muhammed Hâcevî together with Fenârî's commentary (Tehran 1995), and was translated into Turkish by Ekrem Demirli under the name Metaphysics of Sufism. (Istanbul 2002), also translated into Persian and partly into French. For the biography of the author, see. "Konevî, Sadreddin", Turkish Literature Names Dictionary,
