Notes	Arabic ode written by Mollâ Gürânî. The name of the work is Eş-Şâfiye fî İlmi'l-Arûzi ve'l-Kāfiye (1927: 39) in Suyûtî (d. 911/1505), Es-Şâfiye in Kâtib Çelebi (2007: 819), and Es-Şâfiye fi'l-Arûz in other sources. It is in the form of ve'l-Kâfiye. Göksu stated the copyright date of the poem, which is stated in the studies that provide information on the subject, that it is about Aruz, consists of 600 couplets and was written for Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han, by writing 862/1458 next to the name of the work. However, while giving information about the work, the author stated that there is no date of writing of the ode in any source, that Bikâ'î (d. 885/1480), a close friend of the poet, wrote the poem while Gürânî was residing in Jerusalem and sent it to Fatih, and cited Kâtib Çelebi as the source (Göksu 2007: 33). However, Kâtib Çelebi does not contain this information given by Göksu, except that the poem was sent to Fatih (2007: 819). Therefore, the source of the information must be another work. As a matter of fact, it is known that Gurani went to Jerusalem in 860/1456, and Cairo in the meantime, and returned to Istanbul in 862/1458 (Yaşaroğlu 2005: 249). Göksu also mentioned that it was written in his recent works that a copy of the work was sent to Bikâ'î (Seri' 1422: 20 cited in Göksu 2007: 33). The first couplet of the poem is given as an example in Kâtib Çelebi (1971: 1022) and the first three couplets in Suyûtî (1927: 40). The translation of these three couplets into Turkish is as follows: "1. I began to compile and recite the many layers of fragrant texts spread around, praising God, the generosity and goodness of all creatures. 2. And I continued my praise and praise by sending blessings and peace to Abu'l-Qasim Ahmed (Hz. Muhammad), who will be praised greatly on that troubled day when people will be gathered. 3. In those troubled days, I continued my praise. I brought blessings and peace to the companions and his family who helped Muhammad and protected him on the path to victory.” It has been stated that the full copy of Al-Shafiya does not exist and that no study has been done on this poem (Göksu 2007: 33). However, Yaşaroğlu (2005: 250) added "TSMK, Ahmed III, no. 1691" to the end of the information he gave about the work. As a matter of fact, the only surviving copy of the ode mentioned by Yaşaroğlu is among the Arabic manuscripts of the Topkapı Palace Museum Library and is registered in the library catalog under the name Eş-Şâfiye fi'l-Arûz ve'l-Kâfiye, number A. 1691.
