Notes
XVII. Between the second half of the century and the 18th century. The most detailed and voluminous work of Muhammad Murad-i Buhârî, who lived in the first quarter of the 19th century and is known as the Sufi who first brought the Mujaddidiyya branch of the Naqshbandi sect to Anatolia, and who was influential on statesmen, scholars and sheikhs as well as a large mass of people during his time. The author wrote this work in three languages called elsine-i selâse (Arabic, Written in Persian and Turkish), it is a unique classification with its composition and organization. The work is not a commentary written in the known style as stated in some sources talking about the life of Murad-ı Bukhari, but is a work done in the style of Ulumu'l-Kur'an. This is also evident from the name of the work. The author states in the introduction that while writing this work, he benefited from Rağıb el-Isfehânî's work called El-Müfredata and took the Arabic parts verbatim (Şimşek 2004: 123; Ünal and Yılmaz 2014: 1543). In the first part of the work, which has an original arrangement, the last words of all the verses of each sura are given in the order of the mushaf, and then the first words of the verses are given. Then, it was classified with an alphabetical system based on the use of letters at the beginning of words in the order of the letters in the Arabic alphabet, starting from the letter alif. For example; Under the title of "Kitâbü'l-Elif mine't-Tertîb", words starting with elif were determined and the verses within them were arranged in the order of the sura, and then the words determined according to the current order were translated into Arabic under the title of "Kitâbü'l-Elif mine'l-Arabî"; the same words were explained in Persian under the title “Kitâbü'l-Elif mine'l-Fârisî” and in Turkish under the title “Kitâbü'l-Elif mine't-Türkî” (Ünal 2013: 30; Yıldız 2017: 33). In some parts of the work, Râgıb el-İsfahânî, İsmail b. Hammâd el-Cevherî and Ali b. Although the views of Arabic lexicographers such as Hamza el-Kisâî are also referred to, it is an original work with its layout and arrangement. In addition, it is a work that can be considered the first of its kind with its unique layout, as it was written in three languages and arranged in a mixture of curriculum and curriculum (Şimşek 2006: 186). The work, which was written in two volumes, has not been published. The writing of the work was completed in 1131/1719. 15 recorded copies of this detailed work, each written with different imprints and spellings, were identified. So that; The language is written in Turkish in some records and in Ottoman Turkish in others.
