Notes Şerhu Kasîdeti't-Tâiyye, Davud b. It is the Arabic commentary written by Muhammed Kayseri (d. 751/1350) on İbnü'l-Fariz's ode called Taiyye/Tâiyyetü'l-Kübra, also known as Nazmü's-Sülûka. Although Bursalı Mehmed Tâhir (2016:70) says that the name of the commentary is Keşfü Vücûhi'l-Gurr li-Me'âni'd-Dürrol, this name is Abdurrezâk b. It is the name of the commentary written by Ahmed el-Kâşânî (d. 730/1330) on the Taîyye kaside. The work consists of a long introduction and a commentary section. After the Basmala and Hamdala chapters, the reason for the copyright of the work is explained. According to Kayseri's statement in the text, some devotees who were on the path of monotheism came to him and read and corrected the Ta'iyye kaside. However, Kayseri does not have a commentary that he can benefit from during these readings. Although some scholars have very good commentaries on the Ta'iyye ode, the meanings that came to Kayseri's heart are not found in any of these commentaries. For this reason, he decides to write this commentary and presents his work to a person whom he praises with qualities such as "the sun of the sky of vizierate" and "the camera of the fortune of the grand vizier", but does not give his name. Then, he includes a "Mukaddime" in which he discusses the important issues of Sufism and three chapters called "Makâsid". The Mukaddime consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the subject, principles and problems of the science of Sufism; In the second chapter, some concepts of the Sufis are discussed. The first "purpose" consists of three chapters. In the first one, the existence of Allah, his names and attributes; in the second, the levels of condescension of existence and the five divine levels (hazarat-ı hamse); In the third one, the world of examples is discussed. The second "purpose", in which the ways of arrival are explained, consists of three chapters. In the first one, prophethood is explained, in the second one, sainthood, and in the third one, the way to attain sainthood is explained. The third "purpose" is about cem, tawhid and their levels and consists of three chapters. In the first part, the issue of cem and its results, in the second one, tawhid and its levels, in the third one, the caliphate, and in the last part (hatime), the issue of the end of the caliphate is included. This introduction on Sufism is covered under various names (Kitâbün fî-İlmi't-Tasavvuf, Risâletün fî-Beyâni Esrâri't-Tevhîdi ve Envâihi, Esrâru't-Tevhîd and Merâtibü't-Tevhîd) were copied as an independent work. The Risale was first annotated in Persian under the title Şerh-i Risâle-i Kayseri in the work titled Resâil-i Kayseri prepared by Celâleddîn Aştiyânî in 1345, and then published under the name et-Tevhîd ve'n-Nübüvve ve'l-Velâye. Mehmet Bayraktar published it in an article titled Risâletün fî-İlmi't-Tasavvuf in 1988, and later in his work calleder-Resâ'il, which contains eight treatises of Dâvûd-i Kayseri (between pages 105-133) (Kayseri 1997). Muhammed Bedirhan also translated this treatise of Kayseri into Turkish, together with a treatise called Şerhu Te'vîlâtı Besmele, in his work titled Introduction to the Science of Sufism. After this long introduction, Kayseri annotated the ode in couplets. According to Çelebi, Kayseri is one of the commentators who best explains the Taiyye kaside. He has subtle and pleasant evaluations that other commentators do not mention (1941: 266). In the work, the issue of unity of body, which is the most important subject of Sufism, especially after Ibn Arabi, and the love and states of love experienced in connection with it, are intensively discussed. There are more than thirty copies of the work in libraries in Turkey. While there are copies in which the introduction and commentary are included together, there are also copies in which the introduction is not included or only the commentary is included as an independent treatise (Öteleş 2014: 84-87). Just as Kayseri's introduction was printed separately from the commentary, the commentary was also printed twice separately from the introduction (Tehran 1997, Beirut 2003).
