Notes Ya'kûb-ı Çerhî's treatise in which he explains the names of Allah. The compound "Esmâ-i Hüsnâ", consisting of the plural of the word "name", esma, and husna, meaning "the most beautiful", refers to the names attributed to Allah in the texts. The divine names mentioned in the Holy Quran are more than a hundred, and there are also other names attributed to Allah in the hadiths. Although the composition of Esmâ-i Hüsna covers all of these in a broad sense, it consists of 99 names as a term. Charkhi states that the interpretations of Allah's names in Persian and Arabic were also made by Sufi scholars. According to him, the driving element in the commentary on Esmâ-i Hüsna, which appeals to a wide audience including the common people and the elite, is "Praise the Almighty name of your Lord." (al-A'lâ, 87/1), "The most beautiful names belong to Allah. So pray to Him (with beautiful names)." (el-A'râf, 7/180) verses. In his work, in which he also discusses the relationship between God and the universe, Charhî draws attention to the potential of man to realize God's attributes within himself. In this sense, effort is the duty of the servant to transform these potential faculties in man into action. Rather than perceiving the Names of God as a vird recited at certain times, Charhî, who prioritizes the dimension of action in the person, touches upon the principles that the individual must apply in order to realize these names in himself. In his treatise, which has a predominant didactic aspect, there is an emphasis on the practical side of morality, that is, decency. After giving general dictionary information about the noun he deals with, the commentator mentions the moral behaviors that the disciple should apply by saying "Nasîb-i ârif-dervîş înest ki" (The lesson that the dervish should learn from here is this). Thus, he says that that attribute of Allah will become a faculty in humans over time, in other words, this attribute of Allah will manifest itself in the servant. The more a person can internalize these attributes, the more the relevant qualification will be perfected in the person. This work of Çerhî was published in the work titled "Dû Eser-i Gayr-i Çâpî-i Mevlânâ Ya'kûb-ı Çerhî". The Turkish translation of the work by Ildırar was published in 2016.
