Notes
Two different manuscripts bound in this volume. Taʿlīq script in black ink. The binding is in a brown leather cover. It is a work created and bound by bringing together two different manuscripts (Manuscript numbers: MS 674, MS 675).
674 AD: This Arabic work written by Mollâ Câmî is his commentary on Cemâleddîn İbnü'l-Hâcib's work called el-Kâfiye, which he wrote on Arabic grammar. Al-Kâfiye, which consists of three main sections where nouns, verbs and letters are discussed, is one of the three basic works in the science of grammar after Sîbewayh's el-Kitâb and Zamahşerî's el-Mufassal. Al-Rhyme, which is still taught in scientific circles, was taught as a textbook in Ottoman madrasahs for centuries. Approximately 150 commentaries were written on the work, mainly in Arabic, Turkish and Persian, and later, annotations to these commentaries and instructions were written on the annotations. The work we have is perhaps the most famous of the al-Kafiyah commentaries. He is also known as Molla Câmî or Câmî, depending on the author of the work. More than forty annotations were written on el-Fevâidu'z-Ziyaiyye, ten of these annotations were published. The work was translated into Turkish by Abdur Rahman Ercan Elbinsoy (Istanbul, 1987). Additional information: It is the first work of a magazine with two works. The copy of the work we have corresponds to the eighty-first page of a magazine. But the eighty pages before it are not in the copy we have. In 1a, half of which is torn, there is an index of the work and Hasan b. There is a foundation registered in the name of el-Hâcc Süleyman. The index is by Hasan b. It must have been prepared by el-Hâcc Süleyman. At 108a there is a half-cut appropriation seal. 231a contains arithmetic calculations. In the margins, there are quotations and correction records from people and works such as Abdulğafûr, Isâmuddîn, Şerhu'l-Lu bâb, Mutevassıt, Vâfiye, Sıhâh, Hindî. The copy is rejected.
675 AD: The couplets in the famous al-Kâfiye, written by Cemâleddîn İbnü'l-Hâcib in the science of grammar, are annotated. The source text, el-Fevâidu'z-Ziyaiyye, is the commentary written by Molla Câmî on the work called el-Kâfiye written by Cemâleddîn İbnü'l-Hâcib on Arabic grammar. Al-Kâfiye, which consists of three main sections where nouns, verbs and letters are discussed, is one of the three basic works in the science of grammar after Sîbewayh's el-Kitâb and Zamahşerî's el-Mufassal. Approximately 150 commentaries were written on the work, mainly in Arabic, Turkish and Persian, and later, annotations to these commentaries and instructions were written on the annotations. Additional information: It is the second work of the two-work magazine. There is no record of copying, but the copyist is Hüseyin b., who was the copyist of the previous copy in this magazine. Ibrahim, the date of the copy must be after June 10, 1679. As a matter of fact, both the calligraphy and border writing practices are similar in both copies. There is a Turkish quatrain in 369a. There is a favaid in 369b. Then the edges are empty. The copy is rejected. About the month: The magazine we have is a part of another magazine. In this respect, it is possible to say that the magazine is incomplete.
