Notes Nine different manuscripts bound in this volume. Taʿlīq script in black ink. The binding is in a brown damaged leather cover.
Sample Text It is a bound work created by bringing together 5 different manuscripts (Manuscript numbers: MS 584, MS 585, MS 586, MS 587, MS 588). 584 AD: In the work, which begins with the explanation of the names of the Qurras, issues related to tajwid such as idghami medd and kasir are discussed. The author records that he finished the work at the Gate of Rüstem Pasha Palace while the afternoon prayer was recited on the eve of a holiday that coincided with Monday in 1046. He goes on to state that he gives permission to everyone (ehaze'anni) and even all Muslims who read this work he wrote. Two copies of the work appear in the Suleymaniye Library. (Reşir Efendi, 08.09). On the slips of these copies, the author's name is Muhammed Avfi b. He is registered as Ahmed al-Mesiri. However, in determining the name of the author, the information given in the introduction of the copy we have was taken into account instead. As a matter of fact, in the waiver record of the work, the author describes himself as Muhammed b. He introduces himself as Ahmed al-Awfi. Additional information: It is the first work of the five-work magazine. Its copy is by Muhammed b. Halil b. It was completed by Hüseyin el-Eşherî on Tuesday, 20 Cemaziyelahir 1197/23 May 1783, just after the noon prayer. Copyed by Muhammed b. Halil b. It is noteworthy that in Hüseyin al-Ashhari's copy, he prays for his teachers, fellow students (şüreka), relatives, neighbors and those who treated him kindly. His prayers for his fellow students can be interpreted as a sign that he is also a student. At the end of the copy record, the copyist asks for prayers from the future readers of the copy with Turkish, Persian and Arabic couplets. All of these indicate that he copied this copy for himself, and also allow this copying record to be indirectly read as a record of appropriation. The names of the works in the magazine in Ia are Hafız Ali Avni b. There is an ownership record and an ownership seal in the name of Abraham. Again, on the same leaf, there are three birth records regarding the children of Hacı Hüsam's son İsmail. The first birth record dated 22 Rajab 1217/18 November 1802 was kept for Abdurrahman, the record dated 29 Muharrem 1220/29 April 1805 was kept for Osman, and the record dated 1 Rajab 1227/11 July 1812 was kept for Ahmed. In Ib, there is a commentary on the science of tajwīd and the application of tajwīd through some verses, and in IIa, there is a long Arabic commentary on tajwīd/qiraat, probably quoted from another work. At the end of the fawâid, it is written “Temme et-Tekbîr.” In IIb, there is a Turkish ode and commentary on the science of tawwīd, in IIIa, there is a commentary on tajwīd and in IIIb, there is a commentary on the science of recitation, in IVa, there is a section titled “Knowing the origin of the Caliph”, in IVb there is a commentary on the science of recitation, in Va, there are Turkish poems and Arabic prayers about the verses, In Vb-VIa there is a text about the recitation, and in VIb there is a text with the title "Reasons for disagreement in the Qur'an's medd-i muttasil and medd-i munfasıl". VIIa VIIb is empty. It is noteworthy that the notes on the leaves between Ib and IVa are written upside down on the leaf. In 1a Muhammad b. There is an Arabic prayer quoted from al-Cezi al-Shafii. 84b is empty. In addition to extensive correction records in the margins, there are matlabs, minhuvâts and quotations from authors/works such as Celaleyn, Ebu'ş-Şâme, Muhtâru's-Sıhâh. The copy is rejected 585 AD: Muhammad b. It is a compilation of Ahmed el-Avfi's work titled Cedü'l-Me'ani and Kenzü'l-Seb'il-Mesani, which were previously written by him on the science of recitation. In the work, topics such as the names of the Qurras, idgham-i kebir, idgham-i sahir, letters with similar origins, issues regarding nun and tanvin, and issues in which the Qurras conflict are discussed. The author states that he completed the work at a blessed hour of the holy Friday, on 22 Zilkade 1049/15 March 1640. Additional information: It is the second work of the magazine with five works. The copy we have is by Muhammed b., who was also the copyist of the first copy in this magazine. Halil b. It was copied by Hüseyin el-Eşherî. Copying started in 1197/1782-3 and was completed in 1200/1785-6. Copyman Hadim states that he completed the copy he started in the madrasah in Birgi and adds that he had a lot of trouble during this period. On the other hand, it is also quite remarkable that the copyist, while asking the readers to pray for blessings in the copy record, attributes the book to himself instead of the copy and says, "My request to the readers of my book is this...". 85a is empty. In 143b, under the copy record, there is a Turkish poem about the letters 'cim,' 'zâ,' 'ti,' 'sad,' 'mim' and 'lam elif'. 144a and 144b are empty. There are matlaps on the sides. The copy is rejected. 586 AD: It is a brief treatise on the science of tajwid written by the famous Ottoman scholar Birgivî. The work, whose copyright was completed in November 1566, was translated into Turkish by Eskicizâde under the name Tercüme-i Dürr-i Yetîm, and was also annotated by Birgivî himself and Akhisari Ahmed-i Rumi. Additional information: It is the third work of the magazine with five works. The copy we have contains the first page of the work, which consists of several pages. 146a-b is empty. 587 AD: In the introduction of the work written on the science of recitation, the author records that he discussed the issues regarding recitation that he read and narrated (from the 7 imams). The author also states that he wrote the work for those who are engaged in the science of recitation. In the "İbnu'l-Kasıh" article of TDVİA, the name of the work is Kurretu'l-Ayn fi'l-Feth ve'l-İmale ve Beyne'l-Lafzeyn, and the name of the author is Ebu'l-Beka Ali b. Osman b. He is registered as Muhammed al-Uzri. The author and the name of the work were written taking into account the information given in the introduction of the copy we have. Additional information: It is the fourth work of the magazine with five works. There is no record of copying in the copy. 147a and 158b are empty. The edges are largely empty. The copy is rejected. 588 AD: It is a prose commentary made by the Ottoman scholar Taşköprülüzâde on the verse book of tajwîd named el-Mukaddimetü'l-Cezeriyye by the famous recitation scholar el-Cezerî. El-Mukaddimetü'l-Cezeriyye, consisting of 109 couplets consisting of nineteen chapters, deals with tajwid issues such as mehâric-i hurûf, adjective-i hurûfi interpretation, idgam, lahn, gunne, medler, foundation and hemze. Various commentaries, annotations and summary studies have also been made on the work, which has been published in many editions. The author's son Abu Bakr Ahmed, Zekeriyya al-Ansari, Hasan b. Müslim el Âmilî and Aliyyu'l-Kârî are among those who carried out these studies. Taşköpülüzâde states in the introduction that he wrote this work because there has not been a proper commentary on el-Mukaddimetü'l-Cezeriyye until now. Muhammet Yurtseven wrote an article on the thirty-three copies of Şerhu'l-Mukaddimeti'l-Cezeriyye that he identified. Additional information: It is the fifth work of the five-work magazine. The copy of the copy we have is by Muhammed b. Halil b. It was completed by Hüseyin on Friday, 18 Cemaziyelahir 1198/9 May 1784. There is a note on the value of the copy at 159a (72 kuruş). There is a mukabele record in 195b. It is stated in the recording that the response was completed in a "authentic" manner. There are correction records in the margins. The copy is rejected. About the magazine: The first striking aspect of the magazine with five works is that all the works belong to the science of tajwîd/qiraat. In other words, it is a thematic magazine. The owner of the magazine is Hafız Ali el-Avni, who also owned many copies of this collection for a while. There are no other records of appropriation; However, the highly subjective expressions of the copyist of the first copy suggest that he copied the copy for himself. The fact that there are especially correction records in the margins and that there is a response record in the fifth copy shows that the copy was owned by competent people. The three birth records in the magazine are also noteworthy. Because all three of them are records issued by the same pen at once for the children of the same person. The fact that each of these records begins with "this is the way of writing" and ends with "so that it is known", as if to suggest a reason for writing, brings to mind the question of who the addressee of these notes is.
