Sample Text
It is a work created and bound by bringing together 6 different manuscripts (Manuscript numbers: MS 514, MS 515, MS 516, MS 517, MS 518, MS 519).
514 AD: It is the annotation of the commentary written by Molla Fenari, the Ottoman Shaykh hulislam, on the famous text of Esîruddin el-Ebherî called Îsâgûcî fi’l-Mantık. The work is called Kul Ahmed (or, famously, Kavl-i Ahmet) after its author. There are various editions of the work together with el-Fevâidu'l-Fenâriyye. Additional information: 1st work: It is the first work of the magazine with six works. The copy we have of the work is missing from the beginning. In 1120/1708-9 Hasan b. It was copied by Ali el-Osmancîkî. There are extensive quotations in the later works from works/authors such as Mesûd, İbn Cündî, Feyzullah, Sadeddin. Among these quotations, those made from Abdurrahman (Effendi) are particularly noteworthy. Minhuvât is also noticeable in places. The copy is rejected.
515 AD: The work we have is the Arabic translation of the Persian logic treatise that Seyyid Şerif Cürcânî wrote for his son. According to the information in TDVİA, the author of the work is Nurettin, the son of Seyyid Şerif Cürcânî. Translation is registered in libraries under different names such as Tercümetu'r-risâle fi'l-mantık, ed-Dürre ve'l-ğurre fi'l-Mantık, A treatise on Logic and Risale fi'l-Mantık. However, there is no information in the copy we have to confirm any of these names. The translator states in the introduction that he translated this work, which Seyyid Şerif wrote in Persian, into Arabic, which is easier to memorize due to its clarity and more beautiful because of its dignity, without adding or subtracting. Additional information: It is the second work of the magazine with six works. Copied in 981/1573-4; There is no specific Sikh and copy location information. In 20a, there are 3 empty circles and 2 Arabic couplets. There is no annotation in the margins except for 20b. In 29a, there are couplets in Arabic and Persian regarding the manuscript and the copyist. These must have been written by the copyist. In 29b, there is side b of the first leaf of another theological work. The copy is rejected.
516 AD: The work we have is written by Şemsüddin Muhammed b., who is considered the founder of the discussion methodology adabu'l-bahs ve'l-munazara. Mesud b. In the commentary written by Hüseyin al-Şirvânî (d. 905/1500), 'Imâdüddîn Ahmed b. It is the annotation of the annotation written by Yahya. In some copies, the name of the book appears to be Mesud or Mesud Bey, depending on the author. In the copy record of the copy we have, it is recorded that the work is known as Mesûd. The source work is divided into three parts: definitions, discussion and debate order, and examples. A critical publication of this commentary of Shirvani was made (see References). Additional information: It is the third work of the magazine with six works. Its copying was completed in the Envâr-i Şemsiyye Madrasa after the night prayer in 1086/1675-6. The name of the work is written in 30a. The author's name is not recorded. The name of the work is written in the annotation (30b) and in the copy record (89b). In the margins, there are extensive quotations from authors such as Abdurrahman, Muhyiddîn, İbn Şuca', Mollazâde, Tasdîkât, Kutbuddîn, Gucdüvânî. Some annotations are signed “li-Kâtibihî س ح”. The copy is rejected
517 AD: The commentary written by the famous Ottoman scholar Molla Fenari on Isâgucî, Esîrüddîn Ebherî's concise treatise covering all subjects of logic, is an annotation of the annotation made by Kul Ahmed. In the introduction, the author, after mentioning the virtue of studying science - making irony through the name of Kul Ahmed - states that the most honorable of sciences is the science of logic and that he wrote this work for this reason. The name of the work is recorded as Hâşiyetu 'Imâd 'alâ Kul/Kavl-i Ahmed before the bismillah on the first leaf (90b), and as 'Imâdu'l-Vâkı'a 'alâ Kul/Kavl-i Ahmed' in the copy record (114b). The name of the work is given according to this information in the copy record. Additional information: It is the fourth work of the magazine with six works. Its copy is by Hasan b. It was finished by Ali in Mehmed Pasha Medre in Amasya in the month of Muharram in 1120/1708-9. The copyist mentions the month of Muharram as the month of Ashura. In 90a there is information about the science of logic. In 114b, there are two Arabic couplets about writing/copying and copyist around the copying record. The margins are blank except for some correction records. The copy is rejected
518 AD: This treatise on Nispet was compiled by Ahmed Çelebi according to the information given twice in the ketebe record. The author states in the introduction that the earlier and later scholars disagreed about the ratio, which is the subject of qaziyya in the science of logic, and that he wrote this work to investigate this issue. Ahmed Çelebi discusses this conflict between the developer and the contractor through the sentences "in kâne'l-hukmü..." in the excavations section of Kul/ Kavl-i Ahmed. Additional information: It is the fifth work of the magazine with six works. There is no copying record. However, it must have been copied by the previous copyist in this magazine for two reasons. First of all, the beginnings of the copy we have and the last sides of the previous copy share the same leaf. The second and more important feature that makes us think about this is that the font of both copies is almost the same. In this case, the copy we have is Hasan b. It must have been copied by Ali. There are verses in 116b. 117a is empty. In 117b there is a diagram showing the types of qaziyya from logic. Then the pomegranates are empty. The copy is rejected.
519 AD: Many works in the genre of Îsâgûcî were written, which are about genus, species, division, hasse and araz-ı 'am, known as kulliyat-ı hamse in the science of logic. Esîruddin el-Ebherî's work, known as Îsâgûcî fi'l-Mantık and Risaletu'l-Esîriyye fi'l-Mantık, is the most famous work of Îsâgûcî literature. Commentaries, annotations and instructions were written on this text of Ebheri, which was taught as a textbook in Ottoman madrasahs. Molla Fenârî's el-Fevâidu'l-Fenâriyye and Hüsâmeddin Hasan el-Kâtî's commentaries are among these. Annotations were also written on the commentary of Hüsâmeddin Hasan el-Kâtî, known as the first of Îsâgûcî's commentaries. One of the mentioned annotations is this work of et-Tâlişî that we have. Based on this work, Mestcizâde Abdullah b. Ömer (d. 1150/1737) wrote a commentary. et-Tâlişî's work was published (Mardin, 2012). Additional information: It is the sixth work of the magazine with six works. The copy of the work we have is missing from the beginning and there is no copying record. In the margins, there are quotations from authors/works such as Abdurrahman, Kul/Kavl-i Ahmed, Şerh-i Şemsiyye. The copy is rejected. About the magazine: The magazine we have is a magazine of logic. Two of them are Îsâgûcî's commentaries and one is his annotation. The copies belong to three different centuries: the 16th, the 17th and the 18th. This allows us to understand that the magazine was later put together in one go.
