Notes 1In the manuscript: A footnote to the abstraction of beliefs by Al-Baydawi by Mulla Jalal! In Revealing Suspicions: Abstraction of Beliefs, by the scholar Nasr al-Din al-Tusi, who died in 672 AH... it was explained by the eminent scholar Jalal al-Din al-Qushaji, who died in 879 AH, in a nice, mixed explanation. Then, the distinguished scholar and investigator Jalal al-Din Muhammad bin Asaad al-Siddiqi al-Dawani, who died in 907, wrote a nice footnote to the new explanation, which he investigated and achieved, and this became known among students as the old Jalali footnote. Then the great investigator Mir Sadr al-Din Muhammad al-Shirazi, who died around the year 930, wrote a nice footnote... in which there were objections to al-Jalal. Then the Majestic Lord al-Dawani wrote another footnote in response to al-Sadr’s footnote and in response to his objections, and this is known as the New Jalali footnote.
Sample Text It is diminished from its beginning, and the beginning of what exists is the Resurrection, which is not independent of its verses the mind, or it is said that the mind is not independent of most of the conditions of the Resurrection, even if it is independent of some of them, such as the survival of the soul after the destruction of the body, and for this reason the sages paid attention.
