Notes
Abu al-Qasim al-Jurjani mentioned the poem in “Tarikh Jurjan” 1/562, attributing it to Abu al-Hasan Muhriz ibn Jaafar, who claimed to have found it inscribed in Hebrew in Sarendib in India. The text is arranged in columns in green. The poem itself is written in red. Each verse is on a line, and below it is its explanation in Persian in four columns: in the column is the front of the two verses, and in the opposite column is the back of the two verses, and on the far right is a narrow column, and the writing in it is from bottom to top in one line, and on the far left is another column that is similarly narrow, and the writing in it is from top to bottom in one line. The introduction is about three pages long. The text is followed, and after the message is a blank page, and the pages are framed in green.
