It is mentioned in the front of the manuscript that it is a footnote by Abd al-Karim al-Iraqi, and he wrote, quoting al-Suyuti, in his footnote to al-Baydawi that this book is a footnote by the scholar of religion Abd al-Karim Ibn Ali al-Iraqi on al-Zahrawīn, called “Al-Insaf,” which is a ruling between scouting and fairness. In “Kashf al-Zunūn” there is a mention of a trial written by Abd al-Karim ibn Abd al-Jabbar, the beginning of which differs from the beginning of this manuscript, and in the notebook of the Kabtkhana of Hagia Sophia that the book is by Abd al-Krima ibn Abd al-Jabbar, who died in the year 825 AH. Al-Sakhawi mentioned in “Al-Du’ Al-Lami’” a man named Abd al-Karim Ibn Abd al-Jabbar, but he did not mention anyone else, and he reported that he was 74 years old in the year 831 AH. And in “Tabaqat al-Mufassirin” that the book is a footnote to the interpretation of al-Kashshaf from Al-Fatihah to the end of Al-Zahrawin, in which the author noted answers to Kamal al-Din al-Aqsarai’s objections to al-Qutb al-Razi. The manuscript contains a commentary, with corrections and comments in its footnotes.

As for what follows: The poor servant says to God the Forgiving, Abdul Karim bin Abdul Jabbar, may God Almighty pardon them both through His grace, the burdens, that the Book of Al-Kashf is a book whose perfection has spread throughout the countries, and its high status has been recognized by the scholars of the times, and its brilliance has become like proverbs in the countries, and the people needed it as eyesight needs sight, and the word of its perfection was spoken by the words of the perfect among the virtuous.
