مرزبانامم Scanning from a substitute document. مرزبان نامه Scanning from a substitute document. The author of this work, Merzebân, son of Schîrouîn, was one of the descendants of Kaïkaous, brother of Anoûschirwân the just. The Persian original (ms. from the National Library, old Arabic collection 384) consists of nine sections. The translation contains only eight, namely: 1° On the origin and title of the work; 2° History of the scientist and the demon; 3° The adventures of the two foxes; 4° History of the dog called Al-Zeki and the goat; 5° History of the hyena and the king of elephants; 6° History of the camel and the lion; 7° History of the eagle and the two partridges; 8° Reciprocal duties of friends. We see that the work closely resembles in its content the Fâkihat al-Kholafâ, which until اما بعد, also has the same preface. It is likely, therefore, that the translator is Schihâb al-Dîn Ibn ʿArabschâh. مرزبان نامه Scanning from a substitute document.
