Notes Iraki's Persian Sufi work in which he deals with concepts such as love, lover and beloved. This work, written in verse and prose, consists of an introduction and 28 chapters called lem'a. While the author was in Konya, he attended the assemblies of Sadreddîn-i Konevî and wrote this work with the inspiration he received from his Fusûsu'l-Hikem and Fütûhâtü'l-Mekkiyye lectures. While writing the work, Iraki followed the style of Ahmed-i Gazzâlî's work titled Sevânihu'l-Uşşâka. As a matter of fact, the author who wrote the foreword to Iraki's divan stated this in the introduction. After completing the work, Iraki presented it to Sadreddîn-i Konevî, and Konevi said, "O Irakî, you have revealed the secrets of the words of the men of God. In fact, Lema'ât is the essence of Fusûs." He appreciated it by saying: Abdurrahman-i Câmî wrote the most beautiful and descriptive commentary on Lemaʿât with his work titled Eşi'atü'l-Lemaʿât. Many commentaries were written on Lemaʿât in Anatolia and Iran, showing that this work was widely read and its area of influence was wide. The style of Lemaʿât was written by Sa'dî-i Şîrâzî. It is simple, eloquent and elegant like Gülistan. The work, which is also mentioned in some manuscripts under the names Lemaʿât-i Envâr, el-Lemaʿâtü'l-Kudsiyye fi'l-'Işk and Lemaʿâtü'l-'Uşşâka, was most likely written before Sadreddîn-i Konevî's death, that is, before 673. Devletşâh-i Semerkandî stated that Iraki wrote this work in the khankah of Evhadüddîn-i Kirmânî in Kirman. In his work, the author benefited from verses, hadiths, stories, words of wise men and Arabic poems, mentioned the levels of love, and explained the connection between the lover and the beloved in each chapter. Iraki tried to prove İbnü'l-Arabî's idea of unity of existence from the beginning to the end of his work. Lemaʿâthicri became one of the Sufi textbooks after the seventh century, together with İbnü'l-Arabi's works called Fusûsu'l-Hikem and Fütûhâtü'l-Mekkiyye. In the work, it is right for the creature to desire the lover and to desire the beloved. A copy of the work dated 731 is in the Suleymaniye Library (Şehid Ali Pasha nr. 2703, vr.17-35).
