Notes His work includes 100 matlas selected from Gelibolulu Mustafa Âlî's divans called Layihatü'l-Hakika and Varidatü'l-Enîka. The work begins with a masnavi of 19 couplets, which is an introduction and written in the aruz fe'ilâtün mefâ'ilün fe'ilün meter, and then the matlas are listed alphabetically under the title "metal". Âlî mentions the name of the work three times in the 19-couplet preface. The poet first attempts to collect Sadef-i Sad-Güher, which consists of 100 ghazals, and then Gül-i Sad-Berg, which consists of 100 matlas. Since Sadef-i Sad-Güher was put together in 1001/1593, Gül-i Sad-Berg must have been edited after the year in question. In the following couplets, Âlî praises his work and tries to interpret the style of Gül-i Sad-Bergter. According to him, what is meant by "rose" is magazine, and what is meant by "berg" is bright and colorful mats. From now on, Âlî describes his work as "colorful" and compares it to a fresh rose petal with a hundred petals. According to Âlî, Gül-i Sad Beg is like a great tree that sometimes bears a vine and sometimes bears many fruits. Again, according to Âlî, his work sometimes looks like a rose with a hundred petals, and sometimes it looks like a beautiful hyacinth with two hundred grains. After the 19 couplets that are the introduction to the work, matlas come. Although Âlî stated that his work consisted of 100 matlas, 31 matlas remained from Gül-i Sad-Berg until today. There are 50 couplets in two copies, together with the preface and matlas. Âlî's Gül-i Sad-Berg received matlas about love, lovers, nature and social life. In these couplets, as a feature of his style, Âlî includes words and phrases from previous periods. Although it is small in volume, Gül-i Sad-Berg has an important place in Âlî's life and art. Gül-i Sad-BergÂlî's Introduction or He starts with a poem as a preface and presents his work on the subject. He selected the poems in Gül-i Sad-Berg from his divans named Varidatü'l-Enîka and Layihatü'l-Hakika. In this respect, the work has the characteristics of an anthology. The fact that the poet himself chose the matlas in Gül-i Sad-Berg, rather than someone else, takes the work out of the classical definition of anthology. Therefore, Gül-i Sad-Berg is an important work that represents Âlî's literary taste as well as his art.  Âlî stays away from Gallipoli for 18 years, and during this time he travels through Anatolia, Baghdad, Egypt, Damascus, Shirvan, Georgia, Greece and Turkestan. He could not find the peace he was looking for, and towards the end of his life, he returned to Gallipoli, where he was born and spent his childhood. Gül-i Sad-Berg represents the end of fatigue, weariness, discouragement and disappointments in the life of Gallipoli Mustafa Âlî and the return to the old happy days. Two copies of Gül-i Sad-Berg have been identified in Turkish libraries. Âlî's Gül-i Sad-Berg was published by İsmail Hakkı Aksoyak (1997). For the poet's biography, see.
