Notes A prose work written in Persian by Sâdıkî Beg Efşâr and apparently written before 1010/1601-1602 (Terbiyet 1314: 213), giving information about etiquette and manners. It is also a remarkable treatise in terms of containing some words, phrases and idioms belonging to the Safavid period and various layers of society. It is seen that Sâdıkî sometimes plays with words in this treatise (Afşâr 1382: 146). In addition, it can be said that the words about some cities and people, especially in the third part of the work, are more of a witty and humorous nature. The work, which is likened to Esterâbâdî's treatise called Lezzâtat (Terbiyet 1314: 213), consists of 4 chapters and 500 "pleasures" (Sâdıkî n.d.: 29). The first chapter titled "Der-âdâb-ı love u meyl ber-sebîl-i hezel u tarîk-ı ijmâl" is about inclination and love etiquette through humor. The second chapter is titled "Der-levâzım-ı expedition ü tedaruk-i anan"; Here the author gives information about the expedition goods and the supply of these goods. After the third chapter titled "Der-nadiriyyât u kelefiyyât u muhillât u bî-fikriyât", which gives information about rare and very popular things, spoiling things and thoughtlessness, the last chapter titled "Der-zikr-i fusûl-i erba'a ve sülûk-i ân" contains four chapters. It is about the season and its course (Sâdıkî y.t.y: 29). For the author's biography, see. "Sâdıkî-i Kitâbdâr".Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
