Ali Ufkî Bey's book on Turkish grammar. The work, which is a contemporary grammar of the 17th century Ottoman Turkish (Argunşah 2022: 299), was written in Latin and consists of 53 leaves. The text starts with phonetics and continues with morphology. First of all, the vowels and various signs are explained, then, under the title of "Eastern Alphabet Scheme Used by Turks, Persians and Arabs", the alphabet and the concatenation characteristics of the letters are explained, the languages in which the letters in question are found are specified and the letters in question are shown with some word examples in the relevant language. Then, we moved on to the verbs section under the title "Verb" and this section constitutes the most voluminous part of the book. Verbs are classified according to their active and passive forms, verb conjugations are shown, subjects such as compound verbs, auxiliary verbs, indicative suffixes are covered and verbals are mentioned. In the noun section that follows the verb section, noun types are explained with various classifications and the cases of the noun are mentioned. Then, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and interjections were discussed. In the sentence examples section following this section, various uses are emphasized and explanations are given. Afterwards, sentence structures were examined and the grammar section was completed by discussing some suffixes. In the last part of the work, various text samples are included (Argunşah 2022: 299-300). The only copy of the unpublished work is in the Bodleian Library Mr. It is registered at Hyde 43 (BDP 1787) and there is a book on the text jointly published by Fafo Telatar, Yaşar Tokay and Nurdan Besli (2020).
