Notes
Sa'deddin al-Veravini's version of Marzubân-nâme, a work in the style of Kelîle ve Dimne. The work was translated into Turkish by Şeyhoğlu Sadreddîn Mustafâ in the 14th century. Ibn Arabshah expanded this translation and rewrote it in Arabic under the name Fâkihetü'l-Hulefâ in 852/1448 and dedicated it to Sultan Çakmak. In the book consisting of ten chapters, Ibn Arabshah talks about Arab, Persian and Turkish rulers in his style, quotes from Islamic elders, gives extensive information about Genghis Khan, whom he calls "infidel", and talks about the Mongol invasion, its organization, customs and traditions. Text in Istanbul University Library, no. 3040 and Nuruosmaniye Library, nu. There are two copies recorded in 3730. Fâkihetü'l-Hulefâ, 16. It was partially translated into Turkish by Dukakinzâde Osman Bey, one of the 18th century teachers and judges. George Wilhelm Freytag published the work in two volumes with its Latin translation and commentary (1832, 1851-1852), and various editions and publications of the book were later made. Şerefeddin Yaltkaya also translated the tenth chapter of the text about Genghis Khan into Turkish (1925). For the biography of the translator, see.
