Notes	It is an Arabic work by Okçu-zâde Mehmed Şâhî Efendi, in which he compiled the hadiths about the virtues of various deeds and behaviors, which he named al-Makâmu'l-Mahmûda, as an indication of his love for his sheikh Aziz Mahmûd Hüdâyî. After a short praise and praise, he explained the reason for his work in a modern language and style. The author states that Greek (Ottoman) scholars were very barren in the science of hadith, and after examining many hadith sources, he came across some hadiths that had not attracted much attention before, and after intending to collect them in a separate book, he tried to examine all the hadith sources he could reach, and tried to compile the hadiths he found in these sources. However, the author states that he could not find the opportunity to realize the idea of turning them into a standalone book, and says that when he found the opportunity in the last days of his life, he immediately rushed to the drafts he created for this purpose, but was deprived of the sources he had previously examined. After these sentences, Okçu-zâde praises Sheikh Mahmûd Hüdâyî, to whom he is a follower, and declares that he will organize his work, which he calls el-Makâmü'l-Mahmûda, in 10 chapters. However, as stated by Hür Mahmud Yücer and Mehmed Rûzi (2006: 21), who translated the work into modern Turkish, there are six chapters in the copies we have, and under each chapter there are subsections called "chapters". In the first part of the work, hadiths about the traits that emerge with the strength of faith and the hope of reward are compiled. In this main section, Hz. There are hadiths on sub-topics such as the intercession of the Prophet, those who will enter heaven without counting, the virtue of the four great caliphs, martyrdom, poverty, the virtue of the companions who migrated from Mecca to Medina, the virtue of some suras (Ikhlas, Kafirun, Furqan), the virtue of the person who died on the way of Hajj and Umrah, Paradise'l-eternal, performing prayers correctly, performing worship secretly. The second main part of the work is devoted to deeds that are beneficial in purifying sins, and in this part, hadiths on subjects such as ablution, prayer, fasting, pilgrimage and dhikr are included. The third part of the work is devoted to deeds that require repentance, the fourth part is devoted to deeds that shed sins, the fifth part is devoted to deeds that open the gates of heaven, and the sixth part is devoted to those who have a house built for themselves in heaven. In the work, which benefited from many sources in the field of hadith, tafsir and Sufism, not only hadiths were compiled, but also Okçu-zâde included his own thoughts and evaluations under titles such as "nukte" and "tanbîh". There are several manuscripts in the libraries. Hür Mahmud Yücer and Mehmed Rûzî, based on the copy numbered 2058 of Hacı Mahmud Efendi, which is thought to be the author of the work, of which there are copies (Süleymaniye Library Şehid Ali Paşa 5780, Esad Efendi 3586, Hacı Mahmud Efendi 2058, Kayseri Raşid Efendi 150 and Istanbul University Rare Works Library TY 1020).
