The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) and to the learned Sheikh (...) Sidi Abdul Karim Al-Jili (...): Fouad has the sun of love shining ***And the star of humiliation has no spots in it. People woke up from the intoxication of love and did not wake up *** and each dispersed while he was in the mosque.
The end of the manuscript: The traces of Ahmad Tabi` have been preserved in it ***So he admired Tabi’. And here he is, a follower of my son who has a higher rank ***and those who appointed him have sources. May God’s peace be upon him from me, but peace be upon my precious soul. I completed it, thank God.

Notes: The first page of this manuscript includes an excerpt that falls into the controversy over the attribution of the poem, whether it is by Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani or by Abd al-Karim al-Jili (or al-Jilani). Here we quote the text of the two excerpts: the first, which reads: “As for its attribution to Sidi Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, it is not correct, as that al-Jili explained in “Al-Insan al-Kamil.” As for the second, it is the same as what is mentioned in the institution’s copy (No. 280/2), attributed to Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Qadir al-Wakili, and its text: “What appears from the history The rhymer of the poem is preceded by Sheikh Sidi Abdul Karim. The date of the rhymer is in the year four hundred and sixty-nine AH. His birth was at the beginning of the month of Muharram, as is dated in the poem, meaning this is the beginning of it: Fouad has a shining sun of love. The history of Sidi Abd al-Karim, may God be pleased with him, when he met his sheikh, Sidi Ismail bin Ibrahim al-Jabarti, may God be pleased with everyone, in the city of Zabid in the year seven hundred and ninety-nine, he mentioned in his book called Insan al-Kamil, more than once, the date mentioned in it. Then it appears that it belongs to my master Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may God be pleased with him, because he was in the fifth century, as some scholars mentioned to me. On page 14, there is a tura in the margin of the verse in which al-Jili dates the date of his birth, in which the author of the restriction confirms that al-‘ayniya is for al-Jili in terms of the date “for sixty-nine-sevenths of the Hijrah” and in terms of what was stated in “Al-Insan al-Kamil” and what was mentioned in the khums of the poem by Sidi Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Habti.
