Part one of a collective volume of five texts bound together and written in one hand. Based on the interlinear Javanese translations and marginal comments, and the content of the volume, this manuscript was possibly used by a student as a text book taught in a pesantren (Islamic schools) in Indonesia. This third text contains discussion of one of the narrations (ḥadīth) of the Prophet Muḥammad explaining the meaning of Islam, Īmān (faith) and Iḥsān (beneficence).
