Interlinear and marginal Javanese notes and translations. Vowels and diacritics added to the Arabic text, some Arabic notes in margins., • Folio 83v is left blank., • Folios 85v and 86r contain Arabic notes on the bottom of the pages., • Written with the same hand in black and red. The text of Umm al-Barāhīn is written in red and the commentary in black., • The first 10 lines of the text were written on folio 64r, but in a reverse direction due to scribal error. Part 5 of a multiple-text manuscript, a collective volume of eight texts bound together and written in one hand. Based on the interlinear Javanese translations and marginal comments, and the content of the volume, this manuscript was possibly used by a student as a text book taught in a pesantren (Islamic school) in Indonesia., A commentary and explanation of Umm al-Barāhīn of Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Sanūsī in Islamic creed by Abū ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Jazūlī (d. 1465) (Soebardi 1975, p. 165).
