Elegant copy of a collection of traditions from Bukhārī and Muslim, with traditions from the Kitāb al-Shihāb by al-Quḍāʻī (d. 454/1062) and from the Kitāb al-Najm by al-Uqlīshī (d. 550/1155) (GAL). | Ms. codex., Title from preamble of text (fol. 5b, two last lines)., Marginal and interlinear annotations. Several inscriptions on fol. Ia, including verses of poetry in Persian on simple and composed ignorance. Note on fol. 1a, mentioning the number of leaves (282) and of quires (28) in the volume., Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 274 + iii ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 15 lines per page ; frame-ruled in gold and black ; folios 6b-37b frame-ruled in gold, black and red., Description: Written in small script in black ink with use of red for headings and entries., Decoration: Illuminated headpiece in blue, red and gold.
