Örnek Metin
The anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom's cabin, translated into Ottoman Turkish circa 1920 by Niẓāmī, an English teacher at the boys' high school in Trabzon, Turkey, earlier than Tom Amcanın kulübesi, the first Turkish edition printed in 1931 (Khalkedon). Illustrated with reproductions of eight color plates by the British illustrator A. S. Forrest, dated 1904, from a copy of an early 20th-century edition; the plates are mounted and have captions added in Ottoman Turkish (f. 2r, 14r, 38r, 59r, 80r, 101r, 122r, 144r). The translation is written in a commercial notebook with graph-paper pages and a limp paper cover with math problems written on the lower cover.
