Bu, Şehname'nin ayrıntılı bir incelemeyi hak eden ilginç bir kopyasıdır. Metin, Khaleghi-Motlagh ve Dabir-Siyaqi'nin standart baskılarından oldukça farklıdır. El yazması illüstrasyonların St Petersburg'daki Rusya Milli Kütüphanesi'ndeki Dorn 333 ile aynı atölyeden olduğu anlaşılıyor. Kullanılan metin aynı olabilir ve normalden benzer sapmalar gösterebilir. Hattatın Hacı Muhammed b. Nureddin Muhammed Deşt-i Bayazi, Horasan'da bir üretimin mümkün olduğunu öne sürüyor. Ancak bazıları üretim yerinin İsfahan veya Şiraz (Sheila Canby) olduğuna inanıyor. Resimlerin çoğundan sorumlu olan sanatçı Afzal al-Husaini olarak tanımlanabilir; diğer ikisi, ff. 324v ve 329r farklı bir sanatçıya, muhtemelen Mu'in-i Musavvir'e aittir; ilginçtir ki tüm resimler şiddetli çatışma ve bölünme sahnelerini gösteriyor.
