Notlar • Title supplied by cataloger from 147v., • Romanization supplied by cataloger., • Anonymous author., • 16 and 17 lines per page., • 159v with Arabic notes and prayers in black ink with blue coloured pencil. 160v with Arabic notes on Islamic rulings ; 161r has Arabic prayer to be recited after praying., • Incipit, folio 147v: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، و به نستعين الحمدلله الذي علمنا العلم ما لم تعلم و السلاة و السلام علي محمد و اله اهل الكرام و بعد هذه مقدمة في نمياة (؟) المرام في بيان احكام النكاح., • Explicit, folio 159r: تمت هذاالكتاب المسمي ببيت (؟) المارم في سنة في يوم العرفه في وقت الظهر و قيل العصر في يوم العرفه في شهر بشر في الهليل (الهلال؟) الثامن في السنة الف هد (هذا؟) صاحب الكتاب العدد اخرق (الحرف/اخرف؟) الخمس اخرق (الحرف/اخرف؟) الاول سين (؟) و الثانها لم (لام/ميم؟) و الثالثها ياء و الرابها ميم و الخامسها نونا و اما سين تفتحة و اما لم (لام؟) تفتحة و اما ياء السكون و اما ميم تفيحة و اما نون السكون الكن المكاتب في شدت الجهل علي سئو (سوء) سورة و الله اعلم بالصوب و الخطء., • Translation of colophon: "Transcription finished in the afternoon of the day of ʿArafah (the 9th of Dhu al-Ḥijjah), the name of the owner of the book is [Salayman?]"., • Based on the watermarks/countermarks of the papers, the text is transcribed post 1846, however, both texts have colophons crediting transcription to the scribe Ḥamzaj ibn Ḥamzah al-Nuwaihī [?]; listing completion of transcription of the manuscript in the early morning on Thursday, in year 1000 AH (1592). Most probably the scribe copied the text as well as the colophon from another copy. These copies have numerous scribal errors., • Binding note: Leather binding with tooling, one central stamp and four corner pieces, with a detached envelop flap. Inside the envelope flap, front and back covers have blue paper pastedowns with cream paper overlay. Sewing likely from a later repair; stab binding on four stations with a cream thread, stick core endbands. Dluwang patches applied over leather to strengthen binding at hinges have failed and broken. Previous masking tape repair to cover ; text block trimmed close with some loss of marginalia and catchwords. European-style laid paper in cream. Watermark visible (Dutch lion with a sword in a crowned medallio, inscribed 'concordia res parvae crescunt'. Countermark 'VDL'. Based on the watermark, the paper was made by the factory Jan, Claes and Aris van der Ley in Zaandijik, Netherlands sometime after 1846 (Hinzler 1986, p.7).
