Notes Visual communication tools such as computers and the internet, which have become an indispensable part of our daily lives today, are very important in making education and training more meaningful and permanent. Animations and cartoons that present information in various ways with their visual, auditory and interactive features are effective in children's personality formation. In these productions, more beneficial content needs to be made to ensure that children are less affected by harmful content. Because it is important to follow useful content in order to raise individuals with the right personality structure. Moreover, especially animation and cartoons are about unity, love, respect, etc. They are important tools for gaining and teaching values. Because children now need audio-visual communication and learning tools more, and these tools attract their attention more. Therefore, such tools are especially useful for educational purposes. Cartoons and animations as a whole contain a theme. In other words, there are target behaviors that children want to acquire. The target behaviors and the values ​​to be taught can only be revealed by examining the productions prepared for children holistically. In this study, the animated film "Tay", co-produced by TRT and released in cinemas in September 2022, was examined in terms of religion and values ​​education. In this context, the story told in the film was briefly mentioned and the work was supported with various visuals. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the religious and value-based expressions, attitudes and behaviors in the animated movie "Tay", which attracts children's attention and is watched very intensively, and the messages that are intended to be conveyed to children. Cartoons and animations are important materials in teaching positive behavior and values ​​to children. It especially attracts the attention of children between the ages of 3-6 and is used in education and training. Qualitative research method was used in the research. Additionally, literature review and document review were used as data collection techniques. In this context, various findings were identified by scanning literature similar to the research topic. Thus, the data obtained in our study were evaluated in the light of the literature reviewed. According to the results obtained in the study, in the 3D animated movie "Tay", references are made to the experiences of our Prophet during the Hijra period, and this information is presented to the audience in an intriguing and interesting way, especially for children. In the animation, which includes idioms and proverbs with cultural values, it is seen that there are no negative elements that will set a bad example for children, and the main characters in the movie exhibit positive behaviors that children can take as an example. When we look at the messages tried to be given through this animated film, especially focusing on the values ​​of love, kindness and friendship, emphasizing the importance of family and raising awareness in children about religion and values ​​education, we can say that the study has an important content in terms of religion and values ​​education. It can be stated that this animated film is an extremely important step in imparting religious content and values. It is thought that increasing productions in similar formats will contribute to children's teaching of religion and values.
