Notlar	An abbreviated copy of a technical treatise on archery, partly in verse, by Ṭaybughā al-Ashrafī al-Baklamishī al-Yūnānī (طيبغا الأشرفي البكلمشي اليوناني, d. c. 1394, see f. 2, lines 3-5, and f. 33v, lines 10-11). The title of the work is given at the end of the introduction (f. 11v, line 11). This undated copy was transcribed by Muḥammad al-Umlayṭī al-Azharī (محمد الأمليطي الأزهري, see f. 223r, line 7, transcribed below). The text was probably written under the Mamluk Sulṭān al-Ashraf Shaʻbān (reg. 1363-77). The present copy claims the text was written in 770/1368-9 (f. 34r, line 7) and describes it as 'number 247 in the dīwān ' (f. 34r, lines 1-2), although these segments of text do not appear in older copies. Contents: Preface and introduction, discussing prophetic sayings relating to archery (ff. 2v-12r); Ghināyat al-murāmī wa-ghāyat al-mighrām lil-muʻān (غناية المرامي وغاية المغرام للمعان), a treatise on archery in the form of a 149-verse qasīdah in rajaz metre (ff. 12r-34r, title at f. 15v, lines 1-2); Chapter two: A technical commentary on the preceding verses (الفصل الثاني في شرح ما ينبغي شرحه من الأبيات), consisting of detailed descriptions of equipment, techniques, and actions relating to archery, including mounted archery, physiology of the archer, and history and theory of archery (ff. 34r-146v); Section on miscellaneous subjects relating to archery (وما بعد ذلك من الأبيات..., ff. 146v-223r). Begins (f. 2v, lines 2-5): الحمد لله العادل حكمه الشامل علمه القاهر سلطانه الباهر برهانه قامع الكفر ومبدره ومحل بأسه على من وقع عليه أمره… Ends (f. 222v, line 11- f. 223r, line 3): ...ثم إلى شمس الدين محمد ثم إلى الشهابي شهاب الدين أحمد بن المرحوم خاتمت المحررين المعروف بين الرماة بأبي شامة رحمه الله أنتهى Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text.
