Notlar	About: Fine but acephalous (though a small portion of the lacking opening has been supplied later on p.4) copy of al-Ṣafadī's (d.1363) maqāmah in rhymed prose and verse on the pangs of love between young men. Followed by two poetic works apparently attributed in the manuscript (see p.94 and p.103) to Shams al-Dīn Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Shihāb al-Dīn Abī al-ʻAbbās Aḥmad al-Bāʻūnī (d.1466), though the first of these, a takhmīs on the famous qaṣīdah of ʻAlā al-Dīn ʻAlī Ibn Zurayq (ca. 1029), is elsewhere attributed to his father, Shihāb al-Dīn Abī al-ʻAbbās Aḥmad (d.1413) (see GAL I 81, S I 133 and EI2 vol.I, p. 1109, col. 1). The final leaves of the codex contain additional assorted excerpts supplied in a different hand and ink. \| Origin: Lacks dated colophon ; reading / study notice at close of poem on p.105 provides a rough terminus ante quem of 1457-8.
