On bottom edge of ms.: Sūdī Gülistān]; thick beige paper with watermark. catchwords; words that carry the meaning of the text are overscored in red. marginalia in black concern (sayings/verses by) Ibn Seyydī ‘Alī (unidentified), Surūrī (= Muṣlihüddīn Muṣṭafā b. Sha’bān, well-known man of letters and commentator of Persian poetry, 1491-1562; cf. Türk. Hss. vol. 5, no. 263), Kāfī (= Ḥasan el-Kāfī el-Bosnevī, d. 1025/1616, cf. Karatay, Türkçe Yazmalar, Index), Shem‘ī (= Sun'ullāh Mevlānā Muṣṭafā., d. ca. 1000/1591-92, author of Sherḥ-i Gülistān), Daqā’iq el- ḥaqā’iq by Kemāl Pashazāde, redd-i shurrāḥ jamī‘an (rebuttal or refutation of all commentators?), corrections, in different handwritings, usually in text hand. f. 341b: crossed-out name with date 1232/beg. 21 Nov. 1816. Commentary on Sa’dī's Gulistān which includes the opinions of other commentators of Gulisān. Other ms. copies: Karatay, Türkçe Yazmalar, II, nos. 2209 and/or 2210; Flügel 1, no. 540; cf. Türk. Hss. vol. 5, no. 265, where a Sherḥ-i Būstān is mentioned for Sūdī'.
