Notes Ms. codex.Title from fol. 2b.Copied by Ibrahim bin Ali and completed in the last 10 days of Ramaḍān 1127 (1715) -- colophon (fol. 66a).Ca. 16 lines per page. Written in a medium naskh with elements of ruqʻah in black ink. Text is written in a single raw of 7, 8 or 10 interlocking couplets (i.e. alternating between right and left handside). Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Thick, glazed European paper.Ms. additions: Fol. 2a has an abjad table of letters with their corresponding numerical values. End of the text on fol. 66a is followed by a short note, in what appears to be the same hand, concerning a Kapıcıbaşı Çelebi Seyit Fehmi Mehmet Aǧa and the date March 1103/1692 (date of his death?). Fol. 66b-69b have an added text in Arabic in ʻIlm al-Ḥurūf, written diagonally accross the pages in a later hand in medium large naskh (some other copies of this divan have similar texts included in them, e.g. see GHB copies 2739 and 2741). Fol. 70b has two inscriptions, both records of births, dated 24 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1132 (1720) and 29 Ṣafar 1142 (1729), both in black ink laced with gold glitter. Fol. 71b-72a have short versified inscriptions, in Ottoman, apparently again related to ʻIlm al-Ḥurūf (words are accompanied by numbers and dates relating to them). Fol. 74b has one inscription (verses) written twice, dated '220 and 13 Shawwal '225 (1810).Incipit: بحمد لله بو دملرده بزه توفيق ايدوب بارى صتاشدك حواجيه حقا ايده لم قوتلو بازارىExplicit: محرك جمله ده حقدر غري دينيلر احمقدر وجود ير ارتوق اولمز هيج كوزك اچوب هله پاقدر - Olive marbled paper over pasteboard. Gold flower roll around edges of covers. Pastedowns in thick pink paper. Spine damaged. - The shorter of the two different divans of Kaimi, also known as Varidat (see the GHB references below). This copy appears to be slightly longer than other copies of this divan (and they all appear to be arranged differently and have different endings - see Islamic Manuscripts, Thrid Series no. 259 or the copies in GHB Libary).
