Notes After learning the origins of Muhammad Shahrour: the results of what he will say can be predicted. But what is difficult to know is the intermediary that he will show to people that led him to what he said. From this, it clashes with the Almighty’s saying: (Men are the guardians of women because God has favored some of them over others and what they spend of their wealth.) So it is expected that he will begin speaking at this verse, as he is the one who calls for equality between men. And women, including “guardianship and inheritance.” What will he say in interpreting his saying (men)? He says in his book Islam, Origin and Image, p. 237: “Men are males and females”! With a little pedantry about women, she becomes irrelevant to the female. I do not know how to explain the Almighty’s saying: (And if they are brothers, men and women, then to the male is equal to the share of two females). -- Bibliography: p. 147-159.
