Notes
Al-Nazim has two other poems; The first is an amputated Umayyad. The first is in praise of another person, with a verse in it: “O son of honor, O son of the best, O * Cave of Lahaif, O Hatf Al-Adda, seek refuge.” The second is fictitious, with the other being truncated in matters of inheritance. It begins with: “I explained an article in al-Qarid, with precise meanings, and it is implied.” -In the seventh line of this poem, he calls out to the people of Bani Sahl and praises them for their honor after the devastation of his homeland, even though he did not find what he needed from them. This calls for saying that he was a scholar or a prince who fled his homeland after its devastation and took refuge with the Banu Sahl, perhaps in Warjilan. This scholar had an ambition greater than those of his time who sheltered him and did not support him. Size: 15.5 x 10.5. Library number: DG161. - Medium - Full
