Notes Praise be to God, who has made individuals envied in every era among His servants, and I bear witness that there is no god but God, the misguider and the guide, and I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His chosen servant for guidance. Everything he said or did caused misery or happiness, or approved of or intended for him, was in the utmost guidance, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions, those of righteousness, upright speech, upright deeds, clear virtue and readiness, and he gave him eternal greetings of succession, communication and extension, and after: This is a book I have called sayings. Correct transmission of ancient books is in need of its classification, and time has had no need for it, after ages have passed without it, and what was made for it has been done similarly in the books of the imams and the predecessors of the nation. I am in need of it by one whose rank has transcended the Sunnah and high determination, and who has begun to exalt himself by looking down upon the virtuous, and exalting from the vile and the lowly, so I made this book to contain his falsified account, his falsehood, and his terrible value. Commitment is, in fact, proving the facts and eliminating the envious person who seeks to criticize Al-Buqa’i’s Book of Occasions, which is a book whose origin is fixed and whose branches are in the sky, and whose element is purity, purity and growth.... Let someone beware of his offer to refrain from criticizing the honor of Muslims for fear of criticizing him before his foundation is undermined and becomes a piece of flesh in people’s mouths, for I am not one of those who say a word and then hide it; Rather, that is the characteristic of the one who attributes me to that, and I am not afraid of people who treat people with flattery, and return kindness with abuse, so they approach a person if he has status in this world, and turn away from him, and harm him if he thinks that he has become a thrown brick, looking like animals at the present, tangible, and turning away from God (they want to extinguish the flame of God with their mouths, and God refuses except to perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it) (And those who disbelieve will know.) They wronged any turning point they turn over.)
