Praise be to God, who preserved the Sunnahs of His Messenger from every slanderer who was lost, and who stopped a group of scholars who recognized every liar and craftsman, and distinguished between the evil and the good, between the established truth and the fabricated falsehood, and prayers and peace be upon his Prophet who gave good tidings to that group of bliss and warned the other to occupy a seat in hellfire, and upon his family and companions and their followers who made clear what is right from what is wrong, and upon everyone who emulates them with a sound heart, and after that: for among the important things are Knowledge of fabricated hadiths and fabricated narrations. I have written books on it, and the Imam Al-Hafiz Abu Al-Faraj Ibn Al-Jawzi has a comprehensive book on it, but it has some rebukes and discussions in places. Al-Hafiz Jalal Al-Din Al-Suyuti summarized it and followed it in a book called Al-La’ali’ Al-Mina’ fi Al-La’il Al-Ma’dah fi Al-Fadu’. Then he made an appendix in which he mentioned fabricated hadiths that were missed by Ibn Al-Jawzi. Then our Sheikh, the Imam Al-Hafiz, the scholar and scholar of the Prophet’s city in his time, Sheikh Ali bin Muhammad bin Al-Iraqi, the well-known creator of the horizons, wrote a thousand A book in which he summarized these writings in such a way that nothing remained for him to look at anything else. How could he not, when he added additions to it from many of the works, so he gave the poor servant, Raji Lutf al-Samadi, may God have mercy on him, bin Abdullah al-Sindi, to shorten it in order to facilitate the collection of it, along with its translations and arrangement, so I made as its original every translation other than the virtues in three chapters.......the hadith (Three of them have gone from mercy, the hunter and the butcher, the sellers of animals) and [the hadith] (There are no thousand horses). Of the father and no woman like a cousin), the hadith (Four people resume work: the sick person if he is cured, the polytheist if he converts to Islam, the one who leaves the Friday prayer out of faith and seeking reward, and the pilgrimage) was included by Ibn al-Ash’ab in his Sunan which he placed on the Ahl al-Bayt on the authority of Ali. The hadith (The world is the step of the believer), and the hadith (If the believer’s fear and hope were weighed, they would be balanced), and the hadith (Whoever thinks well of a stone, God will benefit him with it), and the hadith (Whoever knows himself knows his Lord), and the hadith (Whoever spends the night guarded by a dog will spend the night in the wrath of God), and the hadith (Whoever breaks a heart must redress it), and the hadith (I am from God and the believers are from me). Ibn Taymiyyah said about the seven: They are fabricated. With God’s help and success, he completed the abbreviation of the book “Tanzīḥ al-Shari’ah al-Marfu’.”
