Bifolios have been reconstituted. Notebook numbers in full (al-kurrās al-ṯānī...) in brown ink also used for corrections (f. 17, 17v, 41...) every 10 f. (11 in the 3rd, 4th, 9th books, 9 in the 10th following a move). These numbers do not agree with a system of marking the middles of the notebooks with zig-zag signs (5 rūmī?) in brown ink, at the upper outer corner of the versos, generally every 10 f. (f. 14v, 24v, 34v...), nor with a numbering of the notebooks in Coptic figures, in black ink, at the upper outer corner of the versos, also every ten leaves (f. 38v, 48v, 58v...).. 1st part: (1v-165v): from the beginning of the world to the caliphate of al-Muhtadī; 2nd part (f. 166v-189v): from al-Muʿtamid to al-Rāḍī, reign of the Fatimids (f. 179-182v). Title to f. 1 and 2v. F. 1-17v, cf. another work by the author, Al-taʾrīẖ al-Manṣūrī, infra, f. 1v-21v. F. 78v-85v, cf. Ibid, f. 29v-40. Gap between f. 17 and 18, gaps noted in f. 85v, 169 and 179. Sheets 85 moved between f. 81 and 82, 87 between 84 and 86 (the bifolio has been returned). 144 follows f. 145 and f. 156 f. 157. Deed of sale in favor of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn H̱alīl ibn Wardās ibn Muḥammad al-Haḏabānī al-Šāfiʿī Ibn al-H̱aṭīb al-Irbīlī (probably father of Muḥammad Ibn al-H̱aṭīb al-Irbīlī (686-729 h/1287-1329, cf. BROCKELMANN (C), Geschichte der arabischen Literatur, II 2 219; Suppl., II 218) who held the manuscript of ʿAlam al-Dīn Sinhar ibn ʿAbd Allāh ʿ atīq of Naǧm al-Dīn Ibn al-Šaʿrānī, one of the walis of Ismāʿiliyya (Encyclopedia of Islam. New ed. Leiden, Paris, 1954-, IV p. 206-215 and EI 1, I p. 498-499) in Ḥiṣn al-Kahf (DUSSAUD, p. 39; CAHEN, Northern Syria, p. 715; GAUDEFROY-DEMOMBYNES, Syria, p. 228), one of the last strongholds taken by al-Malik aẓ-Ẓāhir Baybars (cf. IBN TȦĠRIBIRDĪ, Nuǧūm, VII p. 187; YUNĪNĪ, Ḏayl, II p. 88) in the time of Sultan al-Malik al-Manṣūr Sayf al-Dīn Muḥammad, walī of Ḥamā, d. 683 h/1284 (f. 1 and 165v); Ẓahīra, Niʿmat Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥīm al-Lāhūrī, dated 1090 h/1679, traces in the name of Aḥmad ibn al-dawādar al-Ḥalabī (f. 1); marks of possession of Ḥamza ibn Muḥammad ibn; al-Ḥusayn al-Hamaḏānī al-āfiʿī (f. 150v). 1985, II, type Osv; gold fleurons and cold-stamped fillet border.
