The author was a native of Antioch, and he compiled this treatise in Constantinople; in his time, there was no shortage of similar works written in verse, but none of them understood the three languages; he cites the Tohfe-i Shahidi, Persian-Turkish, the Soubha, the Tohfe-i Fedaï, of Ibn Melek, that is to say the vocabulary of Firishte Oghlou, Arabic-Turkish, and in his preface he praises Sultan Ahmed III and the grand vizier. This manuscript belonged to Libri, who gave it to Desgranges.. Decourdemanche.. Turkish cardboard.
