We will find further below an extract from the will, from the inventory which was drawn up in 1695 after the death of J.-B. Boisot, and from the report of the possession of the monks of Saint-Vincent. — In this catalog we have marked, at the end of the notices relating to the manuscripts from Boisot, the numbers under which these manuscripts appear in the 1695 inventory of Lacina, Gachard. Oblong frontispiece, representing in gilding a Moorish style trellis, with an ornamental leaf of foliage in the outer margin. On the back of the frontispiece, the first page is framed in gold, with the ornamental leaf in the margin; the next page has no decoration except the ornamental leaf in the margin. Large characters drawn with a calame; golden separating florets; diacritical dots in red ink. On the front of the upper endpaper, we read the following notice: “This manuscript contains a surah from the Koran; it is difficult to indicate which one, because the pages do not follow one another. The characters are from Kufic medini, that is to say from Medina; it is the least difficult to read... It appears that the manuscript, although in Kufic characters, is not of great antiquity, judging by the paper [vellum]. So we simply imitated the old character. It is the work of some Muslim who, following custom, carried it on a trip, as much out of devotion as to bring him good luck. — Dom Berthereau, R. B. of the congress. from St-Maur. ".
