This chronicle is the same as that described under No. 101, but its text is accompanied by headings, which make it easier to read, and, although incomplete, it includes the account of events up to the year 946 AH (1540); it begins without the introduction, in which the author says that he worked during the reign of Selim II. This chronicle is followed by fragments on music, bound in disorder (folio 125 verso), extracts from the Risalet el-advar, written in Persian, by Safi ed-Din ʿAbd el-Moumin el-Baghdadi; the first, which deals with modes, is accompanied by figures; the second (folio 129 recto) is made up of a very succinct summary of the work, the text of chapters 3-8 being condensed into two pages, after which come three paragraphs on measurement, on special times on the lute, and several chapters written in Turkish, in which it is treated, according to Fakhr ed-Din Razi, the music of the timpani, and similar questions. On folio 135 verso we find mesnevis in Turkish and Persian, with the indication of the modes in which they must be sung. The volume ends (folio 158 recto) with a treatise on arithmetic, written in Turkish, incomplete from its beginning, in which the four rules are spoken of.. Vansleb..
