Text IV, copied on Indian paper (f. 89 to 185), must have been integrated into an Ottoman collection: f. 1 to 88 and 186-8 are on European paper (anchor watermark, close to Mošin nos. 2365 and 2384, on f. 21, 27, 38, etc.; other to compare to Mošin no. 1521 on f. 13, 16, etc.; C.P. countermark on f. 68-69). 188 sheets. Notebooks: quaternions, except f. 177-188 forming two ternions. The f. 185v and 186v-7 remained white At f. 1, taken from the Munšā ʾt of šayẖ ʿIṣām al-Dīn; tradition in Arabic; transcription of an act in Turkish signed by Muḥ. Bahāʾī, by ʿUmar b. Dāʾūd al-šahīr bi H̱aṭībzāda, qāẕī of Salonika, who certifies it as correct. In f. 88v and 187v (where a prayer accompanies it), there is the transcription, in the same hand, of a short text in verse by the late Muḥ. Bahāʾī, with the ex-libris of the same ʿUmar b. Dāʾūd H̱aṭībzāda, “former qāẕī of Ṭālanda (?)”. In f. 187v two other notes from the same ʿUmar b. Dāʾūd indicate that he was then qāẕī of Valastīn (Thessaly). At the same f. we read, in Arabic, in another hand, an extract from the Tafsīr of Qāẕī and the Ḥāšiyya of Saʿdī Afandī. In f. 188v finally two marks are read, that of Abū l-Iršād M. b. ʿAlī [m. 1061H./1651], qāẕī in Constantinople [from 1049H./1639 to 1053H./1643; cf. Süreyyā, Sicill-i Os̱mānī, IV, Istanbul, 1308-15H., p. 165] and that of Kamāl al-Dīn M. b. Aḥmad, qāẕī-ʿaskar of Roumélie Anonymous and undated copies. Nos. I to III are in the same hand, in Ottoman Nastaʿlīq script of 17 to 18 lines per page (written surface 75 × 155 mm), with rubric titles and advertisements; No. IV is in Indian Nastaʿlīq of 12 lines (65 × 130 mm) with also rubr titles. and recl. Ms. of 135 × 220.. Certificates of doctors, of which the last is missing, constituting the introductory piece of the collection of theological works of Rašīd al-Dīn Faẕl-ullāh (comp. Persian 68). See ms. Arabic 2324, f. 4v-30.. Ms. from the Mazarin library (n° 1735); door to f. 1 a notice, in the hand of Denis de la Haye-Ventelet, like those of ms. Persian 24, etc., with: “Model of different Arabic letters from kings and princes, with a Persian treaty”. A notice signed by Armain (n° 274) and notes in the hand of L. Langlès appear at the top of the volume. Bound in full red morocco with central plate with hot-stamped royal arms.
